Alles in allen gut.
gekommen.
lovely hotel , nice breakfast wi-fi not too good
Great hotel with beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff, nice clean rooms. Absolutely delicious breakfast.
Supert sted og masse sjapper og annet kult. Anbefales varmt
Lite avlägsen i skogs område. Mycket bra restaurang och service. Hade en kanon 3 rätters menu. Bra frukost buffet. Helt ok som övernattning.
Hotel was wat outbollig. Het was netjes en schoon. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Goed ontbijt.
If you are looking to enjoy a quiet forested place near Cochem on the Mosel, far from the tourist crowds, and with a great restaurant, this is the place. Practice your German as there is not much English spoken. Hope you don't need Internet as there is none in the room and very limited wireless in the lobby. Dinners are really great and reasonably priced. The room is comfortable and modern except for no free wireless service. Free parking. Just a short drive to Cochem for the boat tours and tourist things.
Very nice hotel in a gorgeous setting in the woods in the hills above Cochem. A bit hard to find, even with GPS, as the address is on the main road, where another hotel sits. One must turn down the road and drive about 300 yards to find the hotel. The property is beautiful, with a stream running next to the hotel and a nice hiking trail that heads up into the hills. The hotel is quaint, with a lot of old world charm. The rooms are recently remodeled, with nice modern bathrooms. The only downside to the rooms is the smell of cigarette smoke permeating the hallways and seeping into the rooms a bit at times. But we found that during our 2 weeks in Europe, smokers are everywhere, and I think we were immune to it by this time!
The rooms are decent size by European standards, with nice views of the woods or hills. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Be advised, like many European hotels, the beds are 2 twins pushed together, so it makes it a bit tough to "snuggle" without the beds sliding apart and creating a divide! The rooms were also quiet, with no noise or sound from outside coming in.
The hotel has ample free parking and is only 5 minutes ride Cochem. We had no problem finding parking in Cochem on a summer weekend. It looked like a shuttle bus is available for 2 Euro per person, one way. We were able to park in Cochem for less than than it would have cost to ride the bus.
A nice quiet get away - highly recommended for couples or families.
This hotel is beautiful and tucked away with gourmet restaurant and beautiful scenery.Unfortunately, this hotel was not very "English friendly", only 2 staff members spoke broken English so it was difficult trying to navigate through the evening, plus no English speaking TV channels. Also, the Spa is only open for a few short hours during the day(before check-in time) and you must call a week or two in advance to make a reservation. Breakfast was sub-par,consisting of brochens and lunch meat. But other than that it was a nice evening.
