The property met all our needs for a good value short trip to London easily accessible from our train arrival point.

Très bien placé, la chambre était très propre, l’accueil au top ! On a déjà hâte de revenir !
Le seul point négatif, le fait qu’il n’y ai pas d’ascenseur mais bon c’est vraiment un détail car on partait le matin tôt et on revenait le soir tard et cela devait être précisé mais nous n’avons pas fait attention au moment de la resa 😊

Great location. 5 minute walk to Paddington station. Took Elizabeth train to Heathrow next morning. Staff was super friendly. Small room but very comfortable for one person and great price! Simple but comfy.
To be fair, the room itself was clean, which I appreciate.
At no point during the booking process was it clearly stated that the room I was assigned was located in the basement. This is a significant omission. Had this been communicated transparently, I would not have proceeded with the reservation.
The experience was deeply unpleasant. The room felt claustrophobic, with a noticeable lack of natural light, and the overall atmosphere was far from what one would reasonably expect when booking accommodation. The noise levels were unacceptable — there was a corridor directly above my head, and I could hear every single sound from people walking and moving above. Additionally, air conditioning units were positioned just outside the basement windows.
More concerningly, I felt genuinely unsafe. I was seriously worried about how I would evacuate the room in the event of a fire. The layout and location gave the impression of being a potential safety hazard rather than suitable guest accommodation.
Customers have the right to make informed decisions. Failing to clearly disclose that basement rooms are part of your offering — along with the associated limitations and conditions — is misleading and does not meet basic expectations of transparency in hospitality.
To be fair, the room itself was clean, which I appreciate. However, this was the only positive aspect of the stay and does not compensate for the overall negative experience.
I strongly urge hotel management and Booking.com to review how rooms are presented and ensure that such critical details are clearly communicated to future guests.
