Beautiful hotel. Very serene. Good breakfast but not the best in our trip. Good restaurant but pricey and too gastronomic for our taste. Taxis from the hotel for a 3 mile trip were extortionate and maybe the hotel should arrange a shuttle to give guests a bit more choice.

The entire staff was very professional, kind and helpful.

We really like hotel - the area is beautiful. The products they offered were amazing. There were a few things I thought were not communicated well. One of the major roads to the property was closed which meant we were driving around in circles. An email warning would have been helpful. We informed Google maps but they should have done that. The other issue with the property is the food. We had the very high end dinner one night and then they advised we need to book lunch, we show up and it's the same menu as the night before. And no-one told us that there was a casual menu at the pool that we could have had. And that menu should have been offered in the restaurant. We found that to be a major negative. I wouldn't want the same food as the night before.

Food was rather average, had it by the pool and in the main restaurant. Service to be improved big time in Food and Beverage outlets. At the pool had to look for a waiter to serve us. Upon asking the gentleman seemed rather annoyed.

We stayed at La Foresteria Planeta Estate in March 2025, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The entire resort is nestled within a vineyard, creating a peaceful and scenic setting that feels like a hidden gem in the Sicilian countryside.

The restaurant was stunning, both in design and in the quality of food, and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff were warm, courteous, and very friendly. Ms. Angela at the reception was fantastic!

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the garden, the surrounding vineyards, and the lush greenery. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the tranquility of the landscape. The terrace by the hotel lobby was equally impressive, offering breathtaking views of the vineyards stretching toward the sea.

Beautiful resort with an excellent restaurant and friendly staff. Rooms were superior to most with a beautiful view of the vineyards. We were part of a tour group of 15 so our dinners were large affairs, Nevertheless, the food was terrific and very big portions. Planeta Wine has a huge production, 2.5 million cases per year, and the wines are mostly in the $10-$20 range. Nothing special, mostly table wines. But they do make a couple of other that cost up to $80, so ask for samples. They will ship wines back to the US, but when all is considered, there's not a worthwhile savings.

Lovely food and wines, an excellent beach club as part of the package, excellent rooms and all at a very fair price for what you get. Close to Selinunte and just over an hour from both Agrigento and Palermo airport - both an easy drive. A very special place.

Perfect from every point of view: location, service, quality of food. Will be back for sure. Staff so kind and professional. It is a gem in south Sicily.

Perfection and maximum attention to detail.

I just spent 3 days with my husbands entire family at La Foresteria. It’s a small intimate country hotel located an hour south of Palermo in a vineyard overlooking the sea. The stay was planned with meticulous attention to detail by the lovely Deborah Hoppeler who went over and above to orchestrate an amazing stay from making sure all ages and tastes were catered for to finding the perfect birthday cake. Everything from the food, amazing service and spectacular wine was loved and appreciated by all. It was the perfect place to plan this family get together! I have now been here 3 times and plan to come back. If I could give it 6 stars I would.

We were lucky enough to stay for four nights and loved everything about this place. Room was comfortable and spacious, spotlessly clean with lovely views across the estate to the sea from the outdoors terrace. Food was amazing, both at breakfast and dinner, accompanied by some excellent wines from Planeta. Beach Club is also excellent, with great combination of sun & shade plus excellent food at its own restaurant.

This hotel was a refreshing one night break from all the air bnb we stayed at during our trip. We came with our child and while they slept we even were able to use our baby monitor in the restaurant for a romantic meal. The dinner and wine was to die for. Famiky room was great and beds very comfortable. If we are ever in Sicily I know where I will be staying again.

I had tried to book a night here but it was full. Fortunately I looked a few weeks later & they had a room. Stunning views done to the sea. Our room opened onto a herb garden with the view behind. The infinity pool was most welcome in 30c weather. We chose the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings and each dish was beautifully prepared and delicate tasting. We couldn’t decide which course was our favourite. They accommodated our son who just wanted a la carte. Hospitality was friendly & courteous. We should have stayed another night.

We booked 3 nights as a relaxing wine plantation stay after completing a 9 day cycling trip in Sicily. Perfect location for our exploration of the southern and western parts of Sicily. Highest marks for staff and accommodation as well as food. Easy car access to surrounding sights. We also booked 3 nights at their apartments in Palermo—also a treat in a modern apartment well equipped and on border of central city. Used their guide planner as well for an excellent half day walking tour of the city to get our bearings and for suggestions of what to see on our own. Check their website for details.

Visited in August 2023 having visited 10 years prior- it is a fantastic spot with great views and lots of things to do in the local area. The pool is fantastic and having the beach club is a nice added bonus- we spent 2 days down there and enjoyed the food and ambience. In terms of the hotel - most of the staff were great and really helpful but a few front of house staff members were surly and honestly a bit aggressive with the sales pitch for having dinner or doing cooking classes etc. They ask you ‘what time you will join for dinner’ rather than ‘if’. We enjoyed our meal there but we didn’t feel we wanted to stay in the hotel 24/7 and enjoyed going to other local places- but when you say you’re not saying for dinner they are totally disinterested and a bit rude. It soured the stay a little bit but honestly it’s a great hotel with great location and the wine is fantastic. If you can deal with the hard sell then it’s worth it.

Not to mention the breakfast (all local products and above all fresh orange juice! A variety of delicious dishes, well thought!
My suite had a good view on the country.
I found well projected and organized also the service at the Insula beach!
