The location, the staff were excellent very helpful & obliging. Lovely hotel. It will be a fantastic place to stay when renovations are completed. We enjoyed our stay very much thanks to the amazing staff & lovely quaint hotel.
As the hotel was under renovation we accepted things were needed to change such as the shower in our room although we were able to use the shower.

The room was clean, tidy and comfortable.
There is some refurbishment ongoing to the hotel, which is needed to give it a fresh uplift, but this didn't detract from our stay.
Comfortable bed
Very much a work in progress with refurbishment going on and rooms downstairs in better condition than bedrooms. Attempts made to make bedroom comfortable but attention to detail on cleanliness and repairs very much needed, particularly in the en-suite shower room. Water in basin was barely tepid. Had to ask for towels as none in room. In comparison to experiences in other hotels stayed in, overpriced at this stage.

An absolute delightful stay! Could not fault it, clean and comfortable room, stunning breakfast (photographed of course! Best eggs ever), access to town very close, staff were exceptional! I will certainly return!

I arrived and they told me my reservation had been cancelled. I had previously messaged the hotel to say I was arriving early & was it OK to park there but no-one replied. No one messaged to say my reservation had been cancelled. I supplied there menu on reception to prove I had been back. Now I have to try & claim the excess back from my hotel I had to book out of town & two taxi journeys using the consumer act.
Full English amongst other breakfast was offered and proved exceptional value for well presented and well sourced food cooked well. The room was an upgrade due to current refurbishment arrangements and well maintained comfortable and spacious. WiFi proved excellent and communication with the hosts was great.
I was aware from previous reviews that the hotel is in the process of being improved and refurbished so the nature of fittings and need for modernising the bathroom was evident, however everything was serviceable and maintained.
