The location is perfect for the beach, car park is easy to leave/return, biscuits/tea/coffee in the room are a good touch, good light and socket options, bathrooms nice and modern, beds comfy. Rooms for 1 person are a decent size with great soundproofing (we usually take a hit with this).
I was a returning customer because I like staying here, but a man walked into my room at half 12 in the morning and I was so scared it took 3 hours to get back to sleep. I brought it up when I checked out, they confirmed it was a member of staff & it wasn't clear my room was booked. Unfortunately that has made me think twice about returning.
5 stars - Really enjoyed my stay and found the room comfortable and very clean. All the staff were friendly, helpful and made sure everything was OK for guests. I will definitely stay here again and have already recommended to family.
Está cerca de la playa y también del centro
Just returned from a four night stay. Sea view room was outstanding, Hugh balcony, which I’m sure in the summer is fantastic. Staff helpful, friendly and courteous. But the food was outstanding. We were half board a the menu was varied, something for everyone. The quality of the ingredients was amazing. Beautifully cooked and presented. Always hot and cooked to perfection. I would like to compliment the chef and kitchen staff for achieving such high standard. Cannot praise
enough. I have eaten in top class London establishments, and the food served a the Marsham Court certainly came up to standard. You won’t be disappointed. Well done to all the staff.
Stayed here for two nights as part of a large (120+) group. The hotel was great and they have recently spent a lot of money on a refurbishment which is ongoing. I had a double room which was very big and very clean. The hotel takes its recycling and caring for the environment seriously which I applaud. Everything in the hotel is of a high standard and good quality food. You can tell they don’t believe in cheap. The food was good quality but a little rich for me. The staff are excellent and work really hard, long hours but always with a smile. The only thing I couldn’t get my head around was the 5% service charge on drinks, then we had 10% off as we were part of a group then between 5-6 its happy hour with 25% off. I didn’t get this as I think it was too complicated for the bar staff to work it out when the bar was busy.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice family run hotel. Good car parking space.
Would prefer the complimentary room biscuits to be individually wrapped not losely put in a tin.
4 stars - As a wheelchair traveller, I have to say that the Marsham Court Hotel covered most of my accessible and mobility needs and requirements. However, a couple of comfort requirements had to be addressed and they were offered with dignity, kindness and patience. The public areas of the hotel are totally accessible and have excellent wheelchair friendly facilities. Sadly, I would of liked to have given 5 stars but I need to rate a blank 1 star for a warning to other wheelchair travellers thinking of booking an accessible room at the hotel. If you use a large 'power wheelchair', you need to be aware that the hotel's structure is over 100 years old and adaptations to make access easy for all is limited. Which means that some of the corridors and some door apertures are narrow and tight. Also, some of the accessible rooms have restricted space and difficult to turn around in a 'power chair'. It may be advisable to mention when booking, that you require a larger turning space. Facilities in the 'accessible' rooms are first rate, including suitable 'roll in' showers and profile beds with hoists. I can't help thinking that the room decor could do with a bit of colour and modernising. This would go a long way to constitute the premium room rates. Any minor accessible issues don't apply to the larger public spaces. Food and drink was superb and the table buffet presented at the event at the Hotel was exceptional. On the whole, mine, my carer/husband and our assistance dog were made to feel part of the 'Marsham Court' family. So, we would like to take this opportunity to give a big THANK YOU to all the Marsham Court team and to say.... "we will be back"
Like the view from the room
We didn’t like there was a surprise parking charge of 15 pounds per night. We didn’t like how uncomfortable the bed was.. we didn’t like the room was really dirty. The bathroom was also dirty.
Nice swimming pool and a nice bar
Are room was terrible and after they moved us to another room it was considerably dirty
Reception …very helpful.. staff all very welcoming .
Pool too cold to use …thought it was heated.
