It’s very deceptive by the advertised photos, I will not recommend if you’re after a good holiday experience

Apart from the outside looks - nothing

Cons:

The property is advertised as a Five star property but once you get there, then you’ll understand that the outside looks Five star but inside is more like two star it needs a complete new revamp/modernisation which probably will never happen as this is India, rooms had a constant smell and were very worn out - they offered me another room which was no better. You’ll probably book it because of the nice photos they display and is claimed as a luxurious hotel, after which you will never go back or recommend to your friends or family - be careful when ordering room service - it’s very OVERPRICED - finally be careful if you use their in room irons (I had 4 replacements after complaints) your clothes will be ruined as they never de-calcify the irons and white stuff comes out

Spokój cisza, plaża, basen, palmy.
Pros:

Hotel strzeżony, leży przy plaży, otoczony dużą ilością roślin i drzew. Dobre śniadania. W dwóch restauracjach duży wybór dań i alkoholi.

Cons:

Ok. But probably will not stay again.
Pros:

Great staff. Very helpful, accommodating people. Feels secure. Pool looked nice, but I didn’t manage to use it so I cannot say for certain how it actually is.

Cons:

Property is very old and not very well kept/updated. My shower drained very slowly. All fixtures were old and worn. Ventilation in the bathroom was also very bad. Everything is damp always. The socket for the kettle was not functioning. Location is also not the best if you have intentions to visit around Mumbai.

Pros:

I think staff was really friendly! That impacted most when it comes to guest experience.

Below are the specific issues we faced:
Non-functional Fountain in the Swimming Pool Area
One of the major attractions of your hotel—the poolside fountain—was non-functional. Upon inquiry, the reception informed us it had not been working for two years due to maintenance issues. However, I personally visited The Retreat in December 2023, and the fountain was fully operational then. This contradiction is both confusing and misleading. A scenic pool view is a big factor for guests choosing your hotel, especially when we are paying a premium rate. Additionally, it sounds completely unrealistic that the waterfall has been under maintenance for 2 years.
Absence of Birds and Aesthetic Experience
On our previous visits, the birds that gathered near the fountain added to the beauty and charm of the view. This time, due to the non-functional fountain, there was no such experience. It felt dull and lifeless.
Unavailability of Poolside Beds
We were surprised to find there were no poolside resting beds available. We had to specifically ask for it, after which only a single bed was placed near the jacuzzi. This is highly regrettable for a hotel of your stature.
Cold Water in Jacuzzi During the Day
When we first arrived, we went to use the jacuzzi. Since it had just been turned on, the water wasn’t warm. The staff there said the water would heat up after a while, but even after almost two hours, the water remained lukewarm. It was not hot. Later at night, around 8 PM, when my wife and I used the jacuzzi again, the water was indeed warm. So why wasn’t the water hot in the afternoon when we used it earlier?
I had asked my in-laws to use the jacuzzi in the afternoon, especially because they have back pain issues and warm water could have helped. But it was of no use—sitting in the jacuzzi during the day didn’t benefit them at all. It was just a waste of time.

Pros:
