Bastion Hotel Vlaardingen

For a big project at the office, I need to accommodate 7 service engineers from our sister office, because of last minute changes, I made 10 reservations for the 7 rooms in total of 130 room nights including 3 extra continuing stay (1st reservation for 1 day and the 2nd reservation is the continuation of the stay) despite the fact that I've prepaid all the rooms and I've communicated with the hotel and my guests (they even have their reservation numbers at hand during check in) regarding the payment and the check out-check in situation, my guests kept getting harassed by the hotel. I've called them and the answer was "please send emails" I've send multiple emails and received minimum reponse. 1 guest was denied check in and he had to register his credit card during check in despite the fact that he's showed his reservation number. The last guest left the hotel on 25.10.2025 and at the time I'm writing this 29.10.2025, his credit still shows EUR 2321.61 charge.

So for whoever is reading my review, bring your business somewhere else, do not stay at Bastion Vlaardingen.

The Hotel was really unhygienic, for days the bins were over flowing without being emptied, breakfast was completely covered in flys as you walked past the all started hovering over the food and landing on the food

ALERT: Credit card fraud/theft!

I was here for 4 weeks as part of a work trip. Everything seemed to be fine until a few days after I left. My bank statement showed I'd been charged around 80 EUR with no explanation! I tried to get in contact with them to fix it but they never got back to me. F*ck me I guess...

I was there for most of May and the start of June, 2025, for work. Most of my dinners were taken in the hotel so I have the receipts. You can imagine my surprise when I saw the extra charge on a card that was not linked to my room, but one that I only used to tap or PIN. I dont know how they're doing it since its POS but all I know is I've been severely overcharged and the Bastion Hotels dont seem to care. Ill recommend any company looking for a budget hotel for their staff not to use this place.

Find somewhere else, seriously. You'll regret staying here. The rooms are that of a typical budget hotel, the food is serviceable but overpriced. Staff were alright though.

Stayed here while a large conference was taking place so the hotel increased prices to €369 for a night. The property is dirty, there is a lack of irons, graffiti and chewing gum stuck to the inside of the lifts. Awful breakfast. Very basic rooms with loud AC. Moody, rude staff. Located a 30 minute drive from the centre of the city. Just a terrible hotel.

Tout est en construction aux alentours . L’endroit était correct pour nos besoins et le personnel très accueillant .

Stayed at this hotel during work assignment for one and half weeks.
Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Restaurant food and service was good. Breakfast was good with a great selection of hot and cold options - great coffee.
Rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily. Only negative was the mess outside the hotel with a build up of cigarette ends and general rubbish lying around. But that is easily sorted.

Allt var bra, den enda nackdelen är att det fanns torr tvål, om de kan ändra eller byta till schampo eller andra typ av tvål.

Locatie niet ideaal betreft omgeving.

Het diner was niet geweldig (de kip van de kipsate was niet het beste stukje vlees). Hotel zat aan de snelweg, niet echt mooi uitzicht dus. Wel zat je in een mum van tijd in Rotterdam.
