Very nice hotel with a very good location and friendly staff
location, Pleasant girl at desk
tatty upstairs. Things not working properly, dirty marks on walls
Location
Dirty towel from previous guest was left in the bathroom. None of the soap/shampoo dispensers worked and were empty, half used little shampoo bottles in the shower. Aircon in the room barely worked.
Great location
Very dated and dirty in the room.

Location on pantiles. That’s it.
It was not clean. Got to our room on 5th floor, no lift, no air conditioning, not even windows open, to find amongst other things, a floor that had not been vacuumed, stained cups and the worst of all, a pile of dead wasps in the bath tub. No I’m not joking here. Had to rinse them away and wipe off floor where rest of carcasses were with tissue my self as staff told us fully booked up so knew there’d be no changing. Only ever saw 3 guests in the place though. No one eating at restaurant. Cleanliness seriously is 0. I hate to give a bad review for hospitality in current climate but this hotel isn’t being managed right at all. Just awful. Its star rating needs review.
Location
Expensive for what it was
V friendly staff, v nice bar and outside area on The Pantiles, nice room
All good, thank you.
Lovely & quirky
The steep stairs
Location was perfect for a event that was just a couple of steps from the hotel..
Tight bathroom but clean ..
Location was excellent.
Light above bathroom mirror didn’t work. No full length mirror. Bed too small. View from window - brick wall & bird skeleton. Bedside table (on left facing bed) too small & low. Bedside table to right had the kettle & coffee maker on it (surely a health & safety concern!)so no room for my husbands c-pap breathing machine. At 72 & 83 there were far too many stairs to climb.
Perfect location
It’s an old building so no lift and we were on the top floor, nobody’s fault but a bit of a slog with luggage. Maybe for the price a member of staff could help.
It is in a good location.
As we had to check in at night, the staff member was hesitant to let us in. I had to explain that we had been at the hospital and he unwelcomely checked us in.
Lovely hotel with a beautiful bathroom and in a lovely location
Great location and good parking option. Helpful staff.
Room was bit dated. Room cleanliness overall was good but blind spots for dust on bed frame and other surfaces. When we stayed when weather was extremely hot. Room had aircon unit and fan so helped a bit.
Location
Tiny bed, tiny bathroom. No lift
The Tunbridge wells hotel is a great location for exploring the Pantiles, however this lovely looking hotel is in desperate need of a deep clean! It's filthy in places. The hallways and carpets need a good clean, and our room wasn't too far behind. That said the bedding and towels were crisp and fresh, and the front of house staff very polite. We only stayed one night and it was a hot one. Unfortunately the air-conditioning wasn't working, so we had to open a window, which was filthy, but that was short lived, as the pigeons tried to get in. Anyway, this is a hotel with lots of potential, it just needs a good clean and a bit of maintenance. We stayed one night, and wouldn't recommend as it is. We did see cleaners on the morning of checkout, they had made camp outside of our room and were having breakfast there, which was most unusual and not very pleasant to see when you're heading down for breakfast. The breakfast we had was good to be fair, but the outdated Michelin star awards which were on display could be misleading for many tourists. To the owner - You've plenty of potential for this place, and at the rates you charge per night £££, you should invest some into the property to tidy it up before it's too late!
Poor cleanliness..
Staff took care of our luggage. What we loved - having an excellent breakfast on my birthday on the terrace under an umbrella in glorious sunshine. It felt like the French Riviera!
Cannot think of anything that could have been better.
