Das Hotel ist in einem wunderschönen Zustand. Es ist geschmackvoll und aufwändig instand gesetzt. Das Personal ist sehr freundliche. Die Lage hervorragend.
Unser Zimmer, das wir mit Hunden bewohnten, wurde 1x in 4 Tagen gereinigt, der Boden wurde vergessen.
Die Zimmerterrasse war schön gelegen, allerdings unbequem. Kein Sonnenschirm vorhanden.
Essen ist mittelmäßig. Frühstück hat wenig Angebot außer den typisch (sehr mächtigen) Englischen in mittelmäßiger Qualität. Ein wenig Käse, ein wenig Salami. Nichts Frisches außer Obst (schmeckte nicht). Für 5 Sterne erbärmlich. Toast immer kalt. Kein weiteres Brotangebot.
Dinner enttäuschend und, wie die Getränke, überteuert. Das einzig Gute war der Ausblick. Wir wurden einige Male bei Tisch vom Personal vergessen.
Das Hotel befindet sich an einer sehr stark befahrenen Straße, was das rechts abbiegen erschwert. Überqueren ist nicht einfach, Fußwege fehlen, Spazierwege vom Hotel aus außerhalb des Hauses nicht empfehlenswert. Der Garten des Hotels ist zwar schön angelegt für Spaziergänge - mit Gehhilfen aber nicht nutzbar.
Auf garkeinem Fall eines 5 Sterne Hotels würdig. In der Tat das mittelmäßigste und teuerste 5 Sterne Haus, das wir besucht haben.

The service was slow although it was not that busy to us it seemed a shortage of staff
A toasted sandwich was served cold
The river trip did not have anyone commentating although we were informed there would be
Loads of stairs to get to the bedroom , we are not exactly young
From the welcome on arrival, to the service and the surroundings our stay was exceptional. Food was lovely and plenty of choice on the menu. Look forward to staying here again.

Boat trip enjoyable but no commentary on trip so basically just not knowing what we were seeing
