Lovely village location with easy access to city centre via bus/taxi. No parking fees. Solo Xmas stay so a bit lonely.
Food was not bad but fairly basic and presentation was more cook than chef. Room had very little storage/hanging space
The staff were friendly . Clean & comfortable . We needed to change our room, which was not a problem to do.
We were booked into Elm House which had a strong smell of bleach and chlorine. Our room was just the same and we asked to change rooms. The level of bleach was unhealthy and needs to be addressed .

The breakfast was excellent and the staff were brilliant. Our dinner the previous evening was also great and again, the staff were really helpful and just brilliant.

We love this hotel! Location is great! Lovely place. The restaurant offers great food! Staff are friendly. The room is clean. It's generally quiet except when people are chatting outside.
Our room is not soundproof. We can hear convos from the outside. But it was alright. We still had a great experience. The double bed is small for 2 people.
Breakfast had excellent choices. Beautiful room to eat in - light, soft music & lots of areas to sit in. Lovely grounds & friendly staff. We were in Elm House - very quiet room.
It is quiet and set in a lovely location.
The room above the reception was getting a bit tired and could do with a refresh, and you could hear the other guests talking in the hallway.
