Reception staff bit rude and unhelpful.
The star rating is a 2.
No hot water for a shower after 7am and wifi none existent.
For the price per night it’s really bad value for money I wouldn’t recommend it here.
The bed lamps have no switch so you have to pull cord out the wall to turn them off.
The place needs a good renovating it’s tired and v old.
The only plus side is the location and the restaurant which is lovely and the food was great!
Around £84 per night for a dulux room……never again .

The bed in the room was probably the only good thing about this resort. It is run down, dirty, not well maintained and the breakfast was pretty terrible with dirty benches and seen a staff sitting down and playing with his feet which was a turn off. Dirty grounds and restaurant.

After a week in koh Tao which we found to be incredibly beautiful and would recommend to anyone as a place to visit in Thailand. We unfortunately stayed In The seashell resort which was not the experience we were hoping for. We were first of all catfished with the images online which showed that our room would have air con however when we arrived there was no air con just a ceiling fan. We planned to stay in Koh Tao for 6 nights and one of the reasons we chose this resort was because it was shown to have air con. As well as this, our room wasn’t even in the main resort but on the other side of a busy road which also wasn’t stated online. During our stay on island we were really hoping to do a snorkeling tour which our resort were advertising. However when we asked the receptionist he was really unhelpful in explaining how to book on to these tours and told us to do it ourselves online. Took a walk down to two of the pools at the resort however these were absolutely disgusting, one was covered in bugs and green algae and the other so dirty you couldn’t see the bottom. Due to us both being lifeguards at a leisure centre we know what a clean, chemically treated pool should look like so we were very aware this would not be safe to swim in. Unfortunately for us on our last day/night we lost access to the Wi-Fi, we went out for the day and when we got back we were hoping our Wi-Fi would be working however this was not the case. We walked down to reception to tell them and they told us someone would be up straight away. About an hour later a man showed up, communication was difficult but after a while of then getting Google Translate up we were able to explain the issue. He couldn’t figure out what was wrong so he disappeared with us thinking he would come back to let us know what the issue was. An hour later we went back down to reception as they were closing and the receptionist told us that we would be not able to access it for the rest of our stay. Unless we had gone down ourselves to ask what was wrong they were not planning on letting us know this. This is very frustrating for us as we are two young girls backpacking so being able to access WiFi is very important as we needed to check our transportation for the next 48 hours.

This hotel here in Koh Tao was the hotel I was most worried about when I looked at my tour itinerary. It was rated 18 out of 20. And I thought why would the company choose this property but I tried to be hopeful. On the good side there wasn't like a garbage lying around and the pool did not have algae as some of the reviewers have said. I did pay extra to upgrade to a pool view room because the tour group I was traveling with had garden view rooms.
50 xtra for usd a nite. I was good with that I looked at the room and I was happy. But immediately that night when I went to shower and wash up no hot water. Called the front desk she came up show me how to fix it. It didn't work still for the entire two nights and two days I never had a hot shower and I never had any hot water coming out of the sink. Being that it was warm out I made the best of it but it's not what I would have paid extra for. When I checked out I again told her my displeasure in a pleasant and friendly way saying I would have just stayed with the regular rooms in the garden area. That were included in my tour. And all my friends had plenty of hot water. But I did not know that my room had no hot water and I was really unhappy. Now all she had to say to me was... Sure I apologize again about you not having any hot water please forgive us and maybe give me $25 back out of the $100 that
I had paid for the upgrade instead. She was nasty aggressive and very unaccommodating in any way. Incredibly horrible customer service. And no way did she apologize. The way the whole situation was handled by her was incredibly unprofessional really bad customer service. Again this hotel was rated 18 out of 20 on the island and I understand why. When you feel like you are not being treated like you are a guests but they are trouble. Who needs that. Avoid this property at all costs I do not recommend in any way. Even though there was no garbage lying around as some other reviewers had said. And the pool had no algae as some other reviewers had said. But also confirming the breakfast was disappointing and uninteresting. Stay somewhere else!

I really liked how well the hotel is located, right in front of the beach and with a convenient restaurant in place.
When you book this hotel, make sure you take pictures about the room you have booked, cause when I arrived and did the check in, the staff took me to a room, which was far away from the beach and it was different from the one shown in the picture. I then told them that it was not the type of room I had booked and finally they took me to the right one, which was very spacious, with a comfortable bed, a great shower pressure and a big balcony.
Different staff members knocked the door many times 45 minutes, 30 and 10 minutes before the check out time, which I found very disrespectful.
The lady in the reception was very rude and unprofessional with my friend and I and made my experience stressful. The guy that collects the ticket for the breakfast was also rude and impolite. It's a shame this happened because the resort is beautiful, full of palm trees and plants and with a perfect sunset view from the restaurant deck.

Good central location. But staff couldn’t be bothered with your requests.

The location is convenient and the pool was fine, however the beds were uncomfortably hard, the bathroom (wet room) badly designed (water got everywhere), and the breakfast was very poor. Also the rooms had no soundproofing and loud noise from a local nightclub kept me up until around 2am or so - a real disappointment. Would not recommend.

Our first night was unbearable with loud doof doof music rattling our windows til 4.30am. We requested to move and was relocated to a 2 bdr villa further away from the nightlife . They knew straight away we would be requesting to be moved. Property needs maintenance however the location is beautiful and so convenient on walking street. Very hard beds and my hips ached however they put a topper on the bed for me without hesitation. Huge variety of places to eat, safe with kids who loved the independence. It wasn’t a party resort which suited us, however a party isn’t far away. it was a nice blend of variety and location along with the ability to sleep at night. Completed our open water dive certification with the onsite SSI centre which gives you further discount on your accomodation. Beach was nice and clean with rubbish picked up every day. Breakfast included had variety of hot Asian dishes, toast, cereal, pancakes and fruit. No pastries however that didn’t bother us. Beautiful to eat on the beach front every breakfast. Easy to use hotel transport to the other side of the island, same price as everywhere else.

We had to leave our stay early because our entire cabin was infested with ants. They were on the walls and all over our bathroom. The location was good but the resort was overall very dirty and the staff didn’t seem to care very much when we told them.

部屋からは海は殆ど見えなかったが、レストランは海の目の前にあり　リゾート気分を満喫できます。

Had a great stay here. Reserved the poolside Seaview room, which is located at the front of the property. I was on the second floor, so it wasn’t as nice as it would be on the first floor. The furnishings in bathroom were a little rough and dated. But the property is very conveniently located to everything. They also have a dive shop and restaurant. I dove with them for three days and it was great. The bed was rock hard, but I asked the front desk for a mattress pad and that did the trick. Overall, it was a great stay. They also offer free shuttle service to and from the pier, so when you get off the ferry look for the sign from the driver.

Gut gelegen, direkt am Strand und nahe dem Zentrum.

Un hôtel plutôt sympa, nous avons eu une chambre en bungalow. La piscine est très bien et vous accédez à la plage en une minute.
Devant l’hôtel passe un espèce de voie piétonne qui vous permet d’accéder à de nombreux restaurants.
L’hôtel dispose d’un restaurant avec vue sur la plage, parfait pour les couchers de soleil.
Néanmoins, je n’y serai pas resté une semaine : matelas dur, draps déchirés, paroi de douche en train de se casser, très faible débit d’eau à la douche.
Le logement manque cruellement d’entretien.
Chaque jour sont distribués du papier toilette et des bouteilles d’eau

The property is in a beautiful area with great water activities close by.

Great location. A little dated, hard beds but it was clean. I liked the restaurant also.

Awesome property- Pros: big, clean room overlooking the beach & pool in easily walkable area for restaurants, shops, bars etc
Cons: a/c was on a lock that read 16, but we could've get much relief- especially at night when critical; pool closed at 8p- needed later due to heat; staff while professional, no sense of hospitality- clearly "OVER IT" with the gazillions of young backpackers; their on site massage should put hotel guests to top of wait list over young johnny off the beach

Attention l’hôtel fait du surbooking. Très désagréable après un long voyage
