Homely, comfortable base to tour West Cork.
Pros:

Smiling, welcoming staff on our arrival. My daughter and I had a quiet twin room at the back of the hotel. The room was nicely decorated and had very comfortable beds with spare pillows and wool blanket.
The breakfast area had beautiful enlarged pictures of nearby Garinish Island, and there was good evidence of businesses supporting each other in Glengarriff- other tourist towns could learn from that.
I would have no hesitation in staying again on my next West Cork trip.

A complete rip off from start to finish.
Pros:

Could park right outside.

Cons:

Accommodation is dated, cold and in need of maintenance and/or renewal. i.e. Enamel in bath is chipped and the single radiator in the room is rated for a room approximately a quarter the size. Additional Electric portable heater automatically switches off after an hour.

We telephoned Reception on three occasions but received no answer. We telephoned the 'Emergency' number once and still no answer.

The hotel describes itself in glowing terms as 'luxurious'. It's certainly not. Our stay in the Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare on the following night was luxurious and only cost thirty euros more. For 180 Euros per night the Glengarriff Park Hotel is not even 'adequate'.
