Hotel refurbishment
Perfect location
Room was draughty as the windows did'nt shut properly. The TV was incomprehensible but the receptionist was helpful with it.The carpet was frayed by the door.
Location is excellent. Comfortable room. Lovely staff.
The large bath was lovely but took ages to fill.
Full English included would be nice as there’s only £2 difference between it and the continental!!
I requested an early check in and my room was ready when I arrived .
The room was very clean but the decor in the bathroom was tired .the radiator had unpleasant rust marks all over it anf the sealant around the shower needed replacing due to unpleasant mold marks..Just little signs of age but very clean
Friendly staff, good location. Good breakfast.
No power point near mirror for drying hair etc. Shower head erratic. Hotel in general was good but needs a little tlc.
Lovely hotel, excellent staff really helpful and friendly! Room was lovely with French doors where you could go out on the balcony with a lovely sea view! Everything was spotless clean!
Full English breakfast not included, you have to pay extra for it, having paid £600 plus for 3 nights I would expect it to be included
Really nice room. Large, clean, big windows and with a really comfortable bed. Tea and coffee and a fridge in the room. Bathroom was large and clean. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast.
Entrance hall and stairs look a bit tired. Which is a pity since the rooms are so nice.
Set was perfect
Cleanliness was very poor .Cobwebs, dirty windows and surrounds, and general decor needing painting and cleaning .Outside furniture was very dirty .Bathroom dirty skirtings and repairs needed .
The room was very nice, with a partial sea view and close to the beach and Ventnor town centre.
The toilet in our on-suite did not flush. My wife struggled from the moment we arrived and i ended up following her into the loo and trying to flush the toilet after she had been. On the Saturday it got considerably worse and on the Sunday it stopped working completely. We did complain and was told the cistern needed a new part but it had been fixed temporarily .However, it did not work and so we spent a long weekend in a room with out a proper working toilet. If a hotel can charge £220.00 per night one would expect a working toilet. I do not believe the hotel was full so we could have been offered a different room or a partial refund, but were not. In my opinion the room should never have been booked out in that state. It clearly needed fixing before it was deemed habitable. It was definitely not worth £220.00 per night!
Great room with lots of space and comfortable beds, good sea view and really nice coffee. Good breakfast and accommodated for allergies. Really friendly staff and easy parking, close to beach but walk is steep. Would stay again.
All the staff were so lovely and helpful! The room was really lovely also! Had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend staying here! Look forward to staying again.
God beliggenhed- venligt personale.
Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea. The bathroom was large too. Breakfast was cooked to order, perfect!
Parking was available to the rear of the hotel but a bit tight getting to it.
Location size of room.
Overpriced.
Poor decor dated and tatty.
Extra cost for cooked breakfast, order full English first day atextra cost of £12 and is was horrible left it. Fruit plate on continental breakfast include in excessive price was so small with 1 straw and a bit of melon. Slow service coffee was like sludge.
If you wanted porridge, it was £8 extra.
Toilet would not flush. Towel rail rusty. Carpets badly worn. Overall very expensive for nothing special. Living on past glory maybe but standards seriously lacking.
Everything was first class
