This hotel is perfect for visitng Portland!
Pros:

The location is central and great, wallking distance to the waterfront, restaurants and stores, short drive everywhere else. Room was large and clean, bed comfortable. Nice bar for end of evening relaxation. There is an excellent breakfast restaurant right next door.

Cons:

Parking was $40 each night.

Notre chambre était propre et spacieuse ! Nous avons apprécié le confort de la literie.

Cons:

Manque de variété au petit déjeuner. Nous avions choisi une chambre avec vue sur la mer et avons été un peu déçus car nous avions surtout vue sur un grand parking. Choisir une chambre avec vue ne vaut pas le coup.

We had a wonderful weekend!
Pros:

The location of this Hampton Inn is perfect, almost everything in downtown Portland is walkable. The room was clean and comfortable, and staff were exceedingly pleasant. Free breakfast is a much appreciated perk.

Cons:

The breakfast wasn't the best we've had at the Hampton Inn, but honestly, that's likely due to the number of people staying for February vacation week activities and not the hotel.

Hampton Inn Portland Downtown Waterfront was an exceptional hotel! Location, comfort, value!
Pros:

The room was huge and the beds and pillows were the best we have ever had in a hotel. Location downtown was perfect. Breakfast included but also great breakfast place next door. Definitely book again!

Overall pleasant but would’ve chosen somewhere else if I knew about the parking situation.
Pros:

The location was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. I liked that they had a little store for incidentals and there was always coffee available in the lobby.

Cons:

PARKING!!!!! It was not made clear that the only option for parking was to pay $40 PER NIGHT, which added another $120 to my stay! In addition to being forced to pay for parking, it was valet parking so if you just wanted to get something out of your car you’d have to wait for the valet. And if you were trying to get somewhere on time you’d have to budget in extra time to get your car if it was super busy like it was on a Saturday. The valets were great it was just an inconvenient system and it wasn’t clear that the parking would cost so much extra. Probably would’ve chosen somewhere else to stay if I’d known :// The TV’s also were smart TV’s but were locked to not allow casting which was disappointing when we were trying to watch movies from our phone.
