An excellent place to stay in downtown Saskatoon
Pros:

The breakfast offered was excellent. A mixture of buffet sides with made to order eggs and daily specials kept breakfast interesting and delicious. The staff throughout the hotel were also very kind and helpful. The location was perfect for our stay as it was close to restaurants and easily accessed by other areas of the city.

Weekend of comfort
Pros:

After an exhausting week, I decided to spend the weekend here.

The hotel truly feels like a five star property. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, with a king size bed and a beautiful city view.

Breakfast was enjoyable, the bar and lounge were great for relaxing with excellent cocktails, and the staff provided outstanding service throughout my stay.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely return.

Elegant hotel
Pros:

The best hotel in Saskatoon- elegant and modern and well located in pretty part of the city along the river, lined with autumn trees (when we were there). Had a suite and the only negative thing is that the outlook/view was unattractive.

Christmas Party Magic
Pros:

This was our second annual Christmas Party at the James Hotel.
We were hosted in the Penthouse Suite again this year.

The service from Neva & Jody was exceptional once again! These two ladies literally are wonder-women! They kept the drink flowing all night, gave us some laughs and above all are so friendly and warm!

The food was delicious and everyone had full belly's when they left! Compliments to the Chef!

I would recommend hosting any company event you may have here!

Everything exceedingly met expectations, and more!
Pros:

The space, shower, and mini bar is a little pricey but amazing choice in alcoholic beverages.
Staff i would state probably the BEST service i had gotten from any hotel, understanding, considerate, and not undermining.
Would recommend the suites as they are amazing on space, comfort and look exactly like the photo.
I would stay here MOST definitely again.

The Best of Saskatoon (IMHO)!
Pros:

My arrival was a little bumpy because it was so late and the person on duty was not a particularly welcoming fellow, but, by the next morning (after a comfortable sleep on a very comfortable bed), I was able to have a helpful conversation with the reception staff — and that was after I had enjoyed a thorougly delicious and nutritious breakfast in the hotel's lovely breakfast room. The next day, reception offered an upgrade to a riverview suite for an additional $30. I had wanted a riverview, and then having one with the extra space a auite offered made me a fan for life. Yes, I accepted the upgrade offer, and I loved my suite with the beautiful riverview. I would state at the James again without question. Loved it.

Cons:

Maybe then will add a sauna someday.
