The Charlie ranks at the top of the list of places in which we have stayed. I would describe our Dylan suite as cozy luxury. As soon as entered we immediately felt welcomed and at home! All rooms (bath, bedroom, living room and small kitchen) were immaculate. One of my criteria for a top-notch stay is the quality of the bed and bed linens and it passed with flying colors! Although the kitchen is tiny, it contained a stove, dishwasher and full-size fridge in case you wanted to cook.

The walkways, plantings and fountains are magical! As soon as you step in off the street you are transported to a peaceful and enchanting oasis and you feel far removed from the city’s noise and congestion. The Charlie will always be our choice any time we are in the area.

Cool neighborhood location walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Rooms a mini apartments which are super convenient with kitchenettes and laundry facilities. Cozy bed and breakfast feel with a bunch more privacy.

We loved the Charlie . We felt safe. Nice neighborhood. Gated property and parking. Charming cottage feel to the suites. Walkable to restaurants. Full kitchen. Comfortable bed and living room. Stayed in the Marlene suite. Expensive but all of la is. Would recommend.

Walkable to so much - restaurants, activities, etc. Parking available, but Uber is always nearby. Excellent staff. Beautiful property and homey. Great water pressure. Remember these were bungalows built years ago, so if you have a room with stairs, they may be steep for older people. There are other options.

Wonderful stay!

Quiet and private with an essence of old Hollywood. It has a feeling of your apartment, not a hotel.
The staff are lovely and very helpful.

I got the privilege of staying in the Dylan, and Ruth. I loved both, equally. The staff were delightful, experienced and accommodating. The Charlie has managed to maintain a low profile, making it very special and exclusive among the “local” patrons.

It was very lovely and the Mrs. really loved the area she was in love it was our best getaway yet!!

Memorable stay in a beautiful and serene space with unique architecture and history, practically an oasis in West Hollywood. We stayed in the Charlie cottage and had everything and more to feel comfortable and at home there, wish we could have stayed a full week.

Beautiful property in a great location. Enjoy the low key, private feeling. Each unit has a full kitchen, outdoor space and washer/dryer. Comfortable and clean. Only negative would be the thin walls. You can really hear everything outside the room, however, it is generally pretty quiet.

The room we stayed in was very nice and well maintained. The room had modern conveniences with out taking away from the history of the property. Staff was very nice and approachable. The only regret is that we only stayed one night and did not get to enjoy all the features of the property.

Unusual place to stay, very nice and well equipped. A bit smaller than advertised and not cheap, but we had a good stay and would consider returning.
