The hotel is located right next to USJ in the shopping area just outside. It is a very nice and modern hotel, and the room was large enough for a family of four. The shower room was surprisingly large.
The staff were not friendly at all. I spoke in Japanese, but they still replied in bad English, which was annoying.
THE MAIN PROBLEM:
At first glance, the room looked clean. However, after pushing two beds together, it was clear that the spaces underneath the beds had not been vacuumed in a while. There was dust and bits of food under one bed, and what appeared to be a futon storage bag under another. I didn't say anything to my family because I didn't want to worry them.
I wrote a note in Japanese explaining the dirty beds and my concern over health issues, especially with small children. However, after showing the note to the front desk staff, she asked me, "Did you already check out?" After I said yes, she became very disinterested, stopped typing in her computer, looked straight ahead, and simply said, "Oh, sorry." I stood there waiting for her to say something else, but she just kept staring ahead at nothing. It was so rude and dismissive.
I come to USJ once or twice a year, but I will NOT be staying at this hotel again.
