Nice Stay

A near and beauty place to stay in st Maarten

Within a 15 minute walk, you have access to plenty of dining options, casino(s), and shopping. Ample parking. Located between Phillipsburg and the airport. You get a voucher to choose a few items from the bakery for breakfast every morning.

The staff was excellent. Joann was very helpful as was the rest of the staff. The breakfast provided at the bakery was wonderful with custom made breakfast sandwiches and fresh pastry. The housekeeping staff was very thorough and friendly.. I just wish the hotel were in a better area.

Carl’s Unique Inn is a perfect alternative to hectic Philipsburg, quiet, convenient access to nearby wharf and dining options of Cole Bay, and also the airport. Staff is friendly and the property is attractive. Added bonus is the hotel’s on-premises island-renowned bakery, providing the visitor fantastic, fresh meat pies and sandwiches. I highly recommend Carl’s Unique Inn.

This is the absolute best place to stay for a wonderful local experience. Fresh breakfast made to order from restaurant downstairs. Portions are extremely tremendous. Local flavor, drinks, bakery.

The staff was so kind, everyone I met from this hotel was very friendly and helpful with my stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to get the best of the island experience.

The rooms were extremely clean, there’s a courtyard to enjoy your breakfast or drinks. Very quiet and friendly and safe neighborhood. Not far from airport, Dock Marteen and Simpson Bay!

If you want a quit wonderful friendly place to stay, this is it! The staff are extremely helpful, friendly, supportive and willing to help you with any issues or concerns you might have. They went out of their way to help me out with anything I needed. Very Nice location and handmade breakfast food and drinks. I would definitely recommend it! Thanks so much!!

This stay was about what I expected. Those who want fancy, this is not your hotel. It was clean. Immediate area is basically an industrial street. We didn't feel unsafe but far from charming. It was less than ten minutes to walk to the Cole Bay Marina area where we found an excellent restaurant. Lagoonies Bistro and Bar had good food with a trendy vibe. Friendly service there. For the price, Carl's was great value for a clean place to rest your head for a night. Light breakfast was included in the price. Lots of stairs for those with mobility issues and luggage. There was no wine cork available even after asking. So we couldn't enjoy our bottle of wine in the evening there since it had a cork. No hair blower in the room but asked and one was brought to us. These are basic hotel items we expect. Bed was noisy and soft. The mattress seemed to cave in the middle. Pillows were fairly flat. I bring my own, so not an issue for me. Linens fresh and clean. Lots of shampoo and conditioner provided. Towels were nice. The water kept changing temperatures during my shower...hot then cold then hot, etc. The staff were nice but I didn't feel like they were overly friendly or cared much about us being there. . Again, for the price, the stay was fine.
