The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. I love the old world charm and the beautiful staircase. I would highly recommend staying in the Shamrock.
All the staff at the Shamrock are amazing and somhelpful, from check-in to the bar and the restaurant as well, even the cleaners are always smiling. This is a very happy place to visit thank you
Lovely and efficient staff on check in and check out, Thank you! Basic room, but good for price of course. Bendigo a great place to visit.
We stayed here for 2 nights on level 3 We had kids running back and forth the hallway at around 9.45pm stomping their feet. Then Around 10.45pm we got woken up again by a knock and run, then got woken up again by an extended of time from people screaming and yelling. The carpet's got a big stain marked on the floor. Unfortunately we had an unpleasant stay.
The worst Hotel Ihave stayed in ever staff were not very hospitable .Run down Food average
The Shamrock hotel is always a lovely piece of history to visit. Great location and everything you need right on the premises.
The rooms are large and the bathrooms renovated. I love it's old world charm and comfy bed.
Pro: Warm and friendly reception staff. Central location walkable distance. Perfect place if you’re staying for the annual tulip festival. It’s outside the door step. Easy to get to the hotel if you’re coming by train. Great parks and restaurants around the area. Loved the heritage decor.
Cons: no private parking. Street parking only. The council parking was suppose to be accessible but due to public holiday weekend it was closed. The rooms are not sound proof, you can hear traffic from the street and also kids running around upstairs and crying late at night and early morning . Which made our stay restless.
Myself and my brother and my mum had a wonderful stay for my 57th birthday we will be back again ❤️
Good position in a classic building.
Great location.. great big rooms.. lovely old hotel with lots of charm.. will stay again..
Excellent overall. Would prefer the ratio of Earl Grey tea vs plain black tea bags (there were only two) be reversed.
Great historic hotel right in the middle of town and next to the major historical attractions. Excellent atmosphere and service
The hotel was in fantastic location, however the floor we stayed on was fairly old, and needed a Reno, but it was cheaper to stay.
It was perfect for us
Great old hotel to stay
Lose enough to walk to events and restaurants in town
I loved the beautiful, ornate, historical building. It was also super convenient having an in house quality restaurant. The location was extremely central. My only concern as a single female was the separate carpark. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful historic hotel but lacking a little in authentic historical condition due to renovations/changes over time ie gas heater in the old fireplace, built in robe, simple ugly plastic modern bathroom, no access to balcony. Needs more respect for history and heritage but that’s a widespread problem these days. Still a nice place to experience.
Great stay, however the tv wasn’t working properly.
The property is beautiful and stunning but it really has aged and needs a thorough makeover.
