Great place to stay.
Pros:

Close to restaurants, cafes, Rosalind Park and Talking Tram. 10min walk from the station.
Very friendly helpful staff.

Cons:

Needed a lamp next to the single bed.
Could also have had a menu for the pub downstairs in the room.
Other than that it was great

Friendly team, great location, good value for money

Cons:

There was no chair in the room....the picture of the room depicted 2 chairs, but none, zippo, zilch.
Yep first world problem, but not always comfortable to sit on the bed....next time I'll bring my own directors chair

A home away from home
Pros:

It is always about the people who make a stay memorable. Jessica is simply the best. We were a late booking and check-in was a little bumpy. Then Jessica just took over, sat us in the bar to have dinner (great steak!) whilst she personally made sure our room was up to the Shamrock standard. Do yourself a favour, when in Bendigo, go the Shamrock.

Amazing history steeped hotel
Pros:

You could not ask for a better location or atmosphere. This is a gorgeous relic of Bendigo’s Gold Rush Boom.
It is a living history experience. The rooms are gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We loved our stay here.
The staff are warm, helpful and friendly too.

Magnificent Heritage Building, Grand Interior Lounges and Staircase from Yesteryear

I booked an Executive Queen Room for almost $200 per night (room only) on a Sunday and Monday nights . I was disappointed to be allocated a back room without any view apart from over rusty rooves and other broken infrastructure. The bedside lamps were crooked and so dim you could not read in bed. The hotel was definitely not too full so I consider my experience was poor value for money. Had Sunday Lunch at the very atmospheric restaurant , obviously very popular with locals. However my Spaghetti Marinara, one of the
"Specials" was very dry and there was not much seafood in the dish.
