Staff are excellent and room was very clean and tidy had everything we needed
Very friendly staff.
Old building but clean.
Kept in best condition possible
Room was far too hot got what wee paid for only staid for a night
It was staffed by a team of pleasant ladies who were very helpful.
However the property has seen better days. Most of the property is in need of an input of money.
Needs a lot of TLC but clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and could not be faulted. The food, breakfast and dinner, was excellent and `I would recommend future guests to have their meals there. We would certainly stay there again.
A friendly place that was very accommodating as we arrived later than planned, perfect for our needs.
Spean Bridge is perfect for walkers touring and workers alike. Basic/clean hotel. yes could do with a lick of paint but we are just coming out of a pandemic ,and they have been shut for months ,looks are not every thing. and very freindly staff .who are trying there very best with the limited staff they have to cover this big hotel, ( they never stop running around bless them) ,After the last 18 months of the pandemic these guys are working there socks off to provide accomodation for all ,along with takeaway food and resturant service. basically possibly like a lot of us business owners trying to keep heads above water, Ritz it is not, but ,then i wouldnt have stayed if it was. If you want friendly service/clean basic room and awesome breakfast well worth the stay .
The property looks a little poor from outside. However, the 3 rooms we had booked were very clean and all of a good size. They had just what we needed for a one night stopover.
Due to a lack of staff, the bar was only available if you were eating in the restaurant.
The food was good.
Great place to stay with family 👍
Friendly staff, hotel clean but bit worn
Some where to put your head while you are traveling ideally situated. Food not brilliant bar is dirty the whole place needs an extesive make over, room was very hot with no opening window but bed was big and comfortable
Nice hotel
Looks a little tired on the outside but internally its good
Breakfast was nice, really set us up for day's riding
Staff were really friendly and helpful
Lovely location. Certainly will return
Extremely shabby and in need of lots of work. Although the rooms were clean, very uncomfortable bed, the facilities were very basic and not fitting of the amout we paid for 2 nights. The restaurant was bare, as was the bar, no atmosphere and smelt like a 1980s working mens club.
Needed budget friendly accommodation for a week in the Fort William area, however our usual Travelodge/Premier Inn choice were either fully booked or prohibitively expensive. Spean Bridge Hotel came up as our cheapest alternative as my princess teenage daughter won't entertain camping any more. You can tell from the photos that it is a "old school" hotel. Our ensuite bedroom was a reasonable size and our twin beds were comfortable, with duvets. Our bathroom sported tiles dating back to the late 70's/early 80's, but the electric shower unit was up to date and everything was clean and worked as it should. The staff worked hard, were friendly & very helpful. The room came with tea making facilities and these were refreshed everyday. Having initially tried the Bridge Cafe (next door) for our first evening meal we subsequently tried the Hotel's restaurant for our 2nd night & was impressed by the service, quantity and quality of the menu. We consequently decided to eat here a further 2 evenings trying different meal options and clearing our plates everytime. The steak pie was the best I have ever tasted, full of quality steak pieces & cooked within a lovely gravy. OK so the hotel needs updating but this was reflected in the price paid & I arrived expecting this might be the case, but if value for money is more important to you than fancy foreign taps in the bathroom & an expensive vending machine in the lobby (there is a Spar shop next door) then this is a good place to stay.
Although a little tired in paces, my room had been freshly redecorated with a new carpet. Breakfast (for which I paid extra on a day by day basis) offered excellent value, and the restauarnt mealsin the evenibg are
Hey, I’m not going to complain as it was the only place I could find within budget for work. That being said, it is really tired! And well overdue an overhaul!
There is evidence of some work being done.
My room was cheap and cheerful. And clean! And I did get two good nights kip.
The staff were really nice and polite and were quite attentive. Which was a positive.
The food kind of surprised me! It was actually pretty good! Cooked well! And very hearty.
I would stay there again if I had too.
We have stayed here. In the past, about 10 years ago. There doesn't appear to have been any improvements since then. It's a budget hotel without any pretensions.
We booked this online when there was little else to choose from. From the outside, it looked like it had been closed for a decade with squatters in it. Inside wasn’t that much better. The room had an ambient light.... a neon green exit sign pointing to the only door (is this really necessary?!), the beds were average and the decor ancient.
If you’re looking for somewhere and you’re desperate for a bed then it does do the job. Otherwise I would stay clear of this hotel.
I’m addition I felt like we were locked in during the night and unable to exit to the car. It was an unpleasant maze inside with limited introduction.
Lovely down to earth place. Really convenient for everything.
Great location, great service, spacious accommodation
