Great staff very attentive. The food was good. Comfortable Bed and overall decor was good.
Nothing negative but the ability to link to the electric charger was a struggle and the wifi was patchy in places
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Christina was very welcoming and helped us with a room upgrade. The hotel was well designed and well kept with very comfortable facilities. The food quality in the restaurant was excellent. A repeat visit is extremely likely.

Think the price of it and the alcohol prices wow
Went to a wedding & was a expensive night
Very friendly staff great food and so quiet and comfortable
This is a good hotel we have stayed at several times -
Staff are v welcoming - and helpful particularly the night staff
Sat in the bar area for dinner and breakfast as we had a dog. Felt we were forgotten at dinner - and the hotel was not busy. The second night we ate in the main dining room as daughter had left with the dog and the service was better.
Everything: the room, the bar, the restaurant was spacious but comfortably so.
Room numbers are up high above the door. A bit out of the way, but you’ll have a car anyway.

Wonderful hotel and fantastic restaurant, we booked at the very last minute and are so glad we did, everything was lovely, the parking is easy, lovely reception and rooms. The Red Lion is superbly decorated and very warm and homely and is dog friendly in the bar area. Will make and excuse to visit again very soon.
A great hotel as you would expect from the price. Lovely reception area and the food we had was amazing.
Slightly quicker service at times
The weather 😂
This was our second stay and it really is a beautiful hotel. The staff are all amazing, and the general vibe is calm and comfort. The food is amazing, not cheap but a real treat. And the rooms are big, beautifully decorated and very clean.
Beautiful rooms, lovely decor, very clean and comfortable, exceptional food in restaurant, friendly staff, highly recommend
Beautiful hotel and resturant, food outstanding, very clean rooms and friendly staff, will definitely return 😀
Lovely overnight stay with evening meal. We visit the restaurant fairly frequently through the summer months for lunch. On this occasion we decided to stay overnight for a special occasion. The rooms are very comfortable, decor is lovely and representative of the hotels position on the outskirts of the Peak District. Good nights sleep in comfortable bed. All amenities in room except robe. Dinner was excellent in the beautiful restaurant. Helpful and attentive service at Dinner and Breakfast and excellent choice of Wines. Just need to be mindful that on Sundays the menu is the Sunday menu all day. The food was well cooked and very tasty with an excellent breakfast choice.
Great room, great food and the staff in all areas were very friendly. We chose the location to be convenient for Matlock and Chesterfield and it exceeded our expectations.
Really nice place to get away. Food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. The bedrooms are clean and very nice. I would definitely go again.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. The food is to die for.
