Breakfast was good, except that on some scrambled eggs salt was added, too salty to eat and had to hand it back and a new plate was sent out, but I shouldn't have had to hand it back, salt should not be added to breakfasts, this should be for the person to use themselves.
Salt on my scrambled eggs.
Location was good for our plans.
Absolutely filthy. Mold all over the place in room and in the pool area. Visible dirt, grime, etc. in room. Pillows and bed hard.
A quiet gem of a hotel, surprisingly good.
Away from the city hassle yet easy to get there.
Overall a nice place with tasteful decor.
Room spacious, clean.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Great breakfast selection.
Exceptional food in the restaurant.
Swimming pool and spa facilities are top class.
Not too busy, at least it wasn't when we were there.
We'll be back, it's a place worthy to keep in mind.
Mattress could have been a little more forgiving.
our double room was very spacious
the curried cauliflower burger in the bar was delicious
the staff were all very friendly and helpful
the disabled changing room was large and the shower was hot and powerful
it was disappointing that my wheelchair user had to travel around the outside of the hotel to access the pool
Lovely hotel, comfortable bed and plenty to eat at breakfast. Made good use of the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. Staff very helpful.
Just had to drive around for a few mins to get a car park as it was very busy with conferences on.
The breakfast and service of same was excellent.
Our room, although very comfortable, was opposite the lift and our sleep was disrupted a few times during the night by loud residents returning from wherever they got alcohol. In hindsight I should have requested a room away from the lift.
Bedroom was large for 3 beds. Comfy bed and pillows. Teas and coffees provided.
Beautiful scented body soap and lotion.
Bar food was very tasty.
The curtain was hanging off the rails, As a result didn’t close fully so light got in.
The window won’t open fully to let on the latch. The phone wasn’t plugged in to ring reception. Car park was tight for spaces as there was a Wedding and another event on.
Lovely spacious lobby, very friendly & helpful staff.
I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately the experience was quite mixed. While the reception and bar areas were very pleasant, and comfortable, the same standard did not extend to the bedrooms or en suit bathroom.
The room felt very dated, with old furnishings and décor in need of updating. The bathroom in particular was disappointing. Some tiles were very worn and there were areas where tiles were missing. The biggest issue was the mattress, which was extremely uncomfortable. I could clearly feel the springs through it, resulting in a poor night’s sleep. For a hotel stay, comfort is essential, and this was a major let-down.
Considering the cost I paid for a midweek, off-peak visit, it was quite expensive, I expected a higher standard of accommodation. That said, the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, while the main welcome areas and staff were great, the bedrooms and bathroom are in need of refurbishment and modernisation.
Fantastic service and atmosphere.
Nothing to add, it's wonderful.
I was in for the Carvery lunch again today and it was top class!! Fair play to Willy and the team. Thanks for such a great meal.
7 of us were on a quick one night getaway. Our whole experience with the hotel from booking to checkout was great. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Comfy and clean rooms. We had dinner and breakfast and each was excellent. Definitely recommend this hotel and as a group we will be back.
