Is it a 5 star hotel? No. But it’s better than some 3.5 star chain hotels Ive stayed in. I
Pros:

I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very nice compared to the hallways. I did not expect the rooms to be as nice as they were. Well appointed. Comfortable bed. I would choose them again.
Murals on those hallway walls would look amazing

Cons:

There are some obvious repairs needed. Balconies are a little worn out.

Great view, nice staff, large room and comfy bed.
Pros:

Location beautiful view, quiet place and large room

Cons:

Exterior of building and it feels like it is used as temporary housing
But the exterior might be about to be renovated

Great location...fabulous large room & beautiful view...great value for money

Fabulous large room ...balcony with beautiful water...Marina...& Seaplane view...great location for our needs.

Cons:

Chipped glass amongst the 4 mismatched drinking glasses... the balcony floor needs maintenance...no little table to put drinks & snacks on whilst on the balcony..

Not bad for the price
Pros:

Cement building was very soundproof. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette

Cons:

The elevator was terrifying. No face cloths. There was random garbage left in the bathroom. Also no bathtub.

Overall, a comfortable, pleasant stay. Great view of the waterfront.
Pros:

Had my own breakfast. Stove, dishes, utensils supplied by hotel. Fantastic

Cons:

Only one thing. A employee was dumping some garbage in the container bin. It was later at night and was quite loud. Because the bin is located in the open parking lot. They are probably not aware of how much sound travels especially the clanking of bottles and the closing of the metal bin lids.

Not a great place
Cons:

Staff charged my credit card for a pet fee without asking, badgered us upon leaving for room keys which we repeatedly said we left in room, place was run down, kids screaming everywhere. Wouldn’t stay here again

Nanaimo stay
Pros:

The location was nice, being at the Marina. Pet friendly without extra fees was good. Not noisy for sleeping at night. Nice to have Air Conditioning, many old motels in Nanaimo don't.

Cons:

The beds were uncomfortablely firm. The patio doors were jammed shut, so we couldn't open them. The area seemed a bit sketchy, noone else in the parking lot at night, so we parked right in front of the lobby. Lots of unhoused addicts in the vicinity .

Rooms were very spacious, bed comfortable, shower great. Just needs some tidying up.
Pros:

The staff very very helpful and when we decided to stay only one night instead of two, they were exceptionally helpful in sorting out. The buiding is rather tired and needs some maintenance mainly the outside - paint etc. Carpark could be tidier. However if this was addressed, it could be a gem.

Cons:

Trying to liaise with Booking.Com re changing/cancelling a day - however the staff were great.
