The homely character of the hotel was superb and service first class and will visit hotel again 🙏
Pros:

The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful supply of fruit. Cooked breakfasts like omelets were exceptional and brilliant flexibility for early morning breakfasts before the scheduled time. As our coach was scheduled to leave at 530 pm the owner and management allowed us to check out at our leisure. Also the gardens were well maintained and the close proximity to the town centre was very advantageous for myself and my 88 year old father in law. Also wonderful service throughout and the owner of the hotel made us feel welcome.

Cons:

I had a Cretan meal but it did not reach our expectations. It was not tasty though it was light. But credit to the hotel for the wonderful home made Aryan drink. However the major drawback was the cost of taxis in Selcuk as compared to Bodrum ( where I have a holiday home ) was very excessive. For example on this visit a 6 mile journey in Izmir cost 800 lira whilst in Selcuk a two mile journey cost 500 lira. The difference between Izmir and Selcuk was astonishing. In Bodrum a 6 mile journey cost me 600 lira and all these journeys happened this week. Just felt there was a scam being operated in Selcuk by the taxi owners or a cartel, for example we were dropped off at Virgin Mary house there was no way we could get back with a different taxi and that taxi driver ( for both journeys ) would wait for an excessive cost. The journeys between Selcuk and Virgin Mary house and Ephesus were not long journeys but after hotel costs being the biggest expenses the second biggest cost was taxis. Suggestion is if the hotel is recommending taxis then the taxis should be encouraged to charge reasonable rates as would and did happen in Izmir and Bodrum ( remember Bodrum is an expensive place but surprisingly it’s taxis are very reasonable as compared to Selcuk ).

La parcare, facilitati e trecută statie de încărcare mașini electrice. In realitate lipsește. Nu e ok sa se induca in eroare. Rog sa se scoată aceasta facilitate sa nu fie si alții păcăliți.

A really friendly family hotel
Pros:

A really friendly family hotel. They treated us so friendly and were very helpful with all the information we needed.
The pool area is really nice and the pool itself was great. There are turtles roaming around in the backyard to my kids’ delight.
There is antique technology standing around on display, which was really fun to get to study, like the old equipment they used for wake-up calls at the hotel until smartphones made that need disappear.

Spacious territory, garden, historical buildings, antique rooms and furniture, very clean,cool amenities, high service, nice music for breakfast! I liked everything. It's only 20-25 min on foot from the city centre or maybe even less...
Great experience. Highly recommended to visit.

Pros:

Petit coin de paradis, cet hôtel est décoré avec beaucoup de goût, confortable, propre. Le personnel est très accueillant, le petit déjeuner délicieux avec des produits locaux, et la piscine entourée de végétation est très agréable en fin de journée après la visite du site antique d’Ephèse. À recommander!

Mysig och fin hotell. Välstädat rum.Bodde med 3 personer och rummet var stor och luftig. Badrummet var stor. Frukosten var också god. Önskade att de fanns tv på rummet 😊

Ett mycket prisvärt och bra hotell i Selcuk. En riktig pärla med atmosfär
Pros:

Riktigt fint och mycket prisvärt hotell i Selcuk. Vacker och historisk byggnad med en avkopplande innergård (med pool). Fantastisk frukost. Trevliga och professionella medarbetare. Jo, detsamma gäller också ägarna. Vi stannade 3 dagar och hade hotellet som utgångspunkt för att besöka Effesos, S:t Marys House och andra besöksmål. Jo, vi tog en minibuss (Dolmus) för några timmar på stranden. Selcuk var också en trevlig stad med restauranger, historiska sevärdheter och ett fint museum. Selcuk nås enkelt med tåg/buss från flygplatsen i Izmir.

Hotellet överträffade absolut alla våra förväntningar. Om vi kommer tillbaka till den här delen av Turkiet, så vet vi vilket hotell som vi kommer att boka. Rekommenderas starkt! Paul och Annica

Pros:

Много автентичен и приятно тих двор. Зеленина, тишина - въпреки, че е до главен път. Има спокойно място за паркиране. Близко е за пешеходно посещение на крепостта и джамията под нея.

Cons:

Закуската е сравнително бедна.

Super ervaring!
Pros:

Zeer vriendelijke mensen! Mooi nostalgisch hotel. Alsof je in de tijd van Agatha Christy zit! Avond eten was heerlijk! Ontbijt erg uitgebreid! En lekker nabij Efese en de basiliek (ruïne) van apostel Johannes. Aanrader!!!

Hotel Kalehan provided a garden oasis retreat for a travel weary family.
Pros:

Our family of 4 stayed in a separate villa/cottage in the spacious garden right beside the pool. The pool was a wonderful respite from the heat and the garden was a beautiful extension to our room where we ate lunch each day. We loved the garden atmosphere and all the animals in the garden (turtles, frogs, cats & a dog!)

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike.

Raffiné, splendide, confortable
Pros:

Quel merveilleux hôtel que le Kalehan! Tout est raffiné! Nous avons été charmé par les jardins fleuris, les divers endroits où se reposer près de la piscine (chaises longues, chaises berçantes, sofa…). Les chambres sont jolies et confortables. Le personnel est attentionné. Il est possible de souper sur place au son de la musique classique. Merci à nos hôtes qui ont offert un gâteau au chocolat à mon fils à l’occasion de sa fête. Nous avons aimé les chat, le chien et les tortues 😊.

Cons:

Beaucoup de marches à monter avec les valises. Pourrait être plus difficile pour des personnes plus âgées.

Pros:

Un oasi paradisíac al centre de Selçuk amb tradició familiar. Tenen molta cura dels detalls i el patrimoni i els costums locals i, a més, estan compromesos amb la sostenibilitat. El tracte és proper i amable. La cuina excel·lent.
