Pros:

Location is great, very comfortable beds, large rooms, large windows with lots of natural light.

Cons:

Nowhere to put clothes but few hangers. No shelf, no drawers -nothing. Had to put our stuff on the window edge.
No refill of missing items in breakfast - when there was no bread we asked for a refill, they brought two slices and the tray remained empty.

Luxury hotel with a great location
Pros:

Luxury hotel, Nice location. I was able to visit a lot of places that I wanted to by foot, nice facilities, friendly staff, nice food variety for breakfast. Was able to change my breakfast ticket for lunch

Great location but don’t expect space or views and skip breakfast
Pros:

Location was excellent for sight seeing around Kyoto - could not have picked a better location.

Cons:

The rooms are extremely small - with barely enough room to open your suitcases. On top of that, the views are very poor: standard rooms either face a wall (leaving the room in near darkness) or overlook unattractive surroundings next to the building.

Breakfast also feels overly rigid and unwelcoming. If you arrive even a minute after the last order time of 9:30am (despite breakfast officially running until 10am), you’ll find it already closed. To make matters worse, as 10am approaches, staff rush to clear you out and ask you to return your dishes yourself, more like a fast-food setup than a relaxing hotel experience.

Overall, it’s not what you’d expect for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. It’s a shame as with a less rigid approach to our breakfast, it could have been a much more relaxing stay.

A/C was not cold enough, the mattress is so hard and pillows are not good at all. I have stayed at the Royal canvas hotel in Ginza 2 months ago the pillows and mattress were fluffy and spectacular.
