Overall hotel was tired. Towels were very worn and old, pillows were flat and old, furniture in room was worn and banged up, bathroom was not very clean, shower area grout was dirty.
I liked it had a hot tub. Not to many hotels have those. And the room was very clean
When I called the property I was sore at by a girl named Rachel.. hung up on 2ice and didn’t seem like the manager really cared.. She also told me I couldn’t get hold of the manager the last few days because he doesn’t show up for work!! Had a lady check me in and was super nice that day..
Breakfast, Hot tub, bathroom.
Not a real issue but the hot tub could have been a little hotter, but that's probably just me. Exit from parking lot really steep. Just a little farther from Shipshewana than we prefer but not terrible.
Room was huge. Good selections for breakfast.
Had an issue with the bathroom in the pool area. When notified, staff came quickly. Then tried to hand off the task to my sister. My sister refused saying that she doesn't work there. Staff seemed upset with her. Spoke to the day time manager about night staff.

food was very good. The lady that was keeping things stocked and clean was very nice and keep everything very clean.
we had to change rooms are last night because of a creepy Noice coming from be believe the wind coming thru the a/c unit.
The difficulty the hotel had with booking 2 rooms through booking. Having to move from a handicap accessible room when we needed it bc the air conditioner did not work.
Hot tub was very good, could have been a little hotter but it did get a bit hotter just as the timer shut off so I started it up again. Bubbles were excellent. Breakfast was pretty good also.
Wall Outlets in room were too loose to hold a plug,a second USB block with plugs would be nice on other side of the bed.
The property had good water pressure, hot water, breakfast in the mornings, good service and friendly staff.
The rooms are outdated, roaches were crawling around my room, table, headboard. The staff are very nice but loud and active very early in the morning. Ice Machine on the first floor makes a lot of noise every morning just after 5am as it creates a new batch. Location is far out, no good options of restaurants near by, everything is far away. Without a car you are stuck ubering everything.

Confirmation was for 2 queen beds; got a handicap room with 1 king sized bed for 2 adults and 1 child (mother, son, grandson). They said booking.com could not offer us room options; booking.com said Hampton Inn was in a contract and was to hold a room with 2 queen beds. They finally offered a roll away bed and gave us 2 fitted sheets. My compensation for this was credit for $25.71. Won't choose Hampton Inn again.
