For a hotel that lists itself as a luxury hotel it was anything but !
The room was desperately in need of paint, the shower was in such bad shape that my husband refused to take one. There were no glasses provided making it difficult to brush our teeth.
The window shades were broken and the floor was full of cracked tiles. Our room had a patio which had a table that was covered in pigeon poop: disgusting!!
And to top it off, our air conditioning broke in the middle of the night.
It was so noisy. There was a party until 3:30 AM!
All this for $500 a night plus they changed an additional $77.00 for a booking fee.
The neighborhood was very sketchy at best!
Very lovely staff. We came two hours before check in. They were able to give us a room similar to our booking. They were also willing to hold our bags incase another room wasn't available.
Welcoming and informative. The staff answered all our questions with ease. Informed us of the free breakfast, the restaurant in the hotel, along with filling up our water bottle before leaving.
Nice room and very clean. Upon entering, the room was a nice 72°. Spacious bathroom and just immaculate. Well worth the stay.
The staff at Ciqala were extremely attentive and nice. The service was pristine and the included breakfast was delicious

Room was straight off the elevator and door didnt securely close on its own without force. Felt a bit unsafe at this property.
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, from the time I parked, to check in and the room. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was spacious and the breakfast could not be better. Breakfast was ordered the evening before via a link and delivered to the room, every morning, hot and delicious. Never had a problem with the parking. Highly recommended. Looking forward to a next visit. Keep up the good work.

i like everything
Went with my husband and baby to the island on vacation and we chose to stay at Ciqala because it was near to Old San Juan. It's a nice and comfortable place. We were basically there to sleep, but the room was comfortable and clean for the three of us. I wish the pool was a little bigger and not in the rooftop because I get a little nervous with the height. It also gets a lot of movement at night from the restaurant on the rooftop. The people were friendly and extremely helpful, especially on the front desk. Gustavo and Angelica gave us recommendations on what locations were good to visit with a child, where to eat and Gustavo even called us a cab when we checked out to go to the airport. All in all, it was a good experience if you're not expecting a full resort stay, and know it's a smaller hotel.
I loved the modern, spacious design of the suites — it truly felt like a home away from home with all the upscale touches. The rooftop pool and bar were definitely a highlight, offering gorgeous city and ocean views, perfect for relaxing during the day or enjoying the lively atmosphere in the evening. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
What was unique about this property was the blend of comfort and luxury — from the stylish décor to the thoughtful amenities, everything felt very well curated. The location was also convenient, close to Old San Juan and other attractions while still feeling private and relaxing.
The only downside was that parking can be a little tight, but the overall experience more than made up for it.
Both Paolas and James were awesome, nice hotel with beach shuttle and rooftop! I would highly recommend it to anyone going to PR!
Staff was accommodating.
As soon I booked the hotel I received a welcome message from them. I was able to checking online with not problem. There is a 24/7 front desk service. I received my complimentary breakfast which I was very pleased. The breakfast service was excellent and the food was delicious. The free parking is a plus. I feel save walking around, during the day.
Miguel the manager and Angie front desk service are amazing, thank you for making our stay unforgettable. Can't wait to come again and stay at this hotel they are near by to restaurants, 12 mins from the mall La Plaza that carries everything and 15 mins from old San Juan. You would love to stay here!
The restaurant on the roof was very good
went on a girls trip, just me and my best friend and was safe. front staff were really nice & welcoming. room was very spacious, had really cool A/C, big clean bathroom, and even left us drinks and snacks in our fridge. We had a little small kitchen as well. Breakfast was free as well, 6/10 taste wise.

I booked this hotel for a last minute trip. The stay was great, breakfast was brought to the room daily. The food was good. The pool area is small and around the restaurant area, good for wading only. Overall it was a great experience
