I would stay in a Microtel again.
Pros:

Adorable, spotless room! Safely walkable to pub, bakery, coffee shop. Extremely kind front desk personnel. Good coffee.

Cons:

Noise in hallway.

While the location of this hotel is good, the rooms left something to be desired.
Pros:

The location and proximity to local food and shopping amenities (ie - target, wegmans, coffee shops, fast food, gas, etc.) was very good. The front desk staff were very helpful in getting extra towels when needed.

Cons:

The initial room we were given was very dirty (food crumbs and stains on couch, spider webs above shower, etc.) and was also missing part of the actual door lock. The front desk staff member did make it right and give us another room, but it shouldn't have had to happen in the first place. In addition, even though it's a non-smoking hotel, the floor we stayed on smelled like weed the whole first night.

Comfortable, clean, and great value for a short weekend visit to Rochester Institute of Technology.
Pros:

The staffmember at the front desk was very nice and provided great customer service.

Hot water was out during our entire stay.

Pros:

The staff was courteous.

Cons:

I took the time to pre-check in and the manager never saw the information on her computer.
The shower handle didn't work.
We had no hot water.
We stayed three nights and no one cleaned our room at least once.
The breakfast bar was so-so.
