SUPER!!
Pros:

Durch die Abgelegene Lage sehr ruhig nachts. Frühstück bietet alles was man wünscht. Spitzingersee nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Schöne Zimmeraussicht auf eine alte Steinkirche.

Pros:

Da ich auf Recherche für eine Wanderreise war, empfand ich die Lage top.

Cons:

Leider konnte ich erst später anreisen und das überschnitt sich mit der Hochbetriebszeit im Restaurant, so ass ich bevor ich mein Zimmer beziehen konnte zu Abend. Im Grunde kein Problem aber ich hätte es gerne anders gehabt, da ich gerade von einer Reise gekommen bin und mich ausruhen wollte.

Ausstattung und Service mangelhaft
Pros:

Die Lage am Spitzingsee ist sehr schön

Cons:

Im Badezimmer kein warmes Wasser, die Heizung funktionierte nicht und der Fön war defekt, die Sauna wurde nicht eingeschaltet weil der Strom zu teuer wäre, Hotelchef wurde auf erneute Nachfrage beleidigend und aggressiv.

One star is generous. A frightening night, followed by an appalling response from the owner.

What should have been a peaceful overnight stay at Hotel Gundl Alm turned into an utterly unacceptable experience. But as disturbing as the night itself was, the owner’s behaviour the following morning was arguably even worse.

Until approximately 3:30 a.m., a group of men apparently returning from a nearby nightclub caused considerable noise and disruption. At one point, they began rattling the handle of our room door and physically throwing themselves against it, apparently attempting to get inside.

Imagine lying in your hotel bed in the middle of the night while strangers are trying to force their way into your room.

We had no idea who these people were or what their intentions might be. I attempted to contact the hotel for assistance and was sufficiently concerned to consider police intervention. I even dialled 110 and subsequently looked for the nearest police station, which was more than half an hour away.

This was no longer a question of a few inconsiderate guests making noise. It had become a genuine safety concern.

The following morning, I brought the incident to the owner’s attention, expecting at least some acknowledgement, concern or perhaps even an apology.

Instead, I was met with an astonishingly unfriendly, defensive and dismissive attitude.

At one point, the owner actually attempted to justify the situation by pointing out that this was “just a three-star hotel.”

Apparently, expecting to sleep safely behind a closed hotel room door is a luxury reserved for four- and five-star establishments.

For perspective, the official German Hotelstars classification criteria require 24-hour availability, either digitally or by telephone, even for one-star hotels. More importantly, basic guest safety and respectful treatment should be the bare minimum at any accommodation, regardless of its rating.

Pros:

Freundlicher Empfang und ich konnte das Zimmer ohne Berechnung schon vor dem eigentlichem Check in beziehen.
Auf dem ersten Blick war das Zimmer sauber. Das Bett war akzeptabel, auch wenn die Matratze scheinbar nicht zum Bett gehört (siehe Bild).
Das Frühstück war für den Preis ganz in Ordnung.

Ein erlebnisreicher Kurzurlaub

Renoviertes 30-Zimmer-Hotel in ruhiger Lage unweit des Spitzingsees mit Parkplatz am Haus. Zum Hotel gehört ein Restaurant. Überwiegend kleine nicht abgetrennte Balkons an den Zimmern. WLAN gut, jedoch ungesichert. Betten bequem. Frühstück ausreichend und mittelmäßig. Es gab die Schliersee-Gästekarte - erst nach Anfrage.

Cons:

SAT-TV anfangs nur Privatsender, nach Beschwerde öff-rechtl. Sender mit Störungen. Sofortbezahlung bei Check-in, Rezeption kaum besetzt, deshalb kein Service, keine Auskünfte. Bei Vollbelegung und 2-Stunden-Frühstückszeit gab es Wartezeiten. Automatengetränke kalt/warm mit kritikwürdigem Geschmack. Personal langsam und ohne Lächeln, Sprachbarriere? Kleiner WC-/Duschraum: 1,80m x 1,68m, keine Ablagemöglichkeit. Fläche Vor- und Schlafraum zusammen etwa 15 qm, Möblierung mit Hocker und Stuhl, Sitzhöhe 42 cm, Tisch 60 x 60 cm - alles sehr klein. Kein Aufzug. Restaurantangebot nicht attraktiv.
