Chail Residency stay in June
Pros:

Stay was good. Chail Residency food is very good . View from attached Balcony is great. Wifi connection is an issue but I assume it is genuine problem in hills.

Very old, slightly shabby, very warm.
Pros:

I first visited this hotel about 10 years back; at that time, this one and Ekant were pretty much the only options other than Chail palace. I went back this time and it has grown a little (two more floors), but still retains the original charm. The staff is friendly and responsive, food is superb (light, mildly spiced, served fresh). Don't go to this hotel if you need a billiard room and wifi and all the amenities that go with this.

There is a small lobby with a superb view over the valley where we drank endless cups of tea, a carrom board and chess set and that's it. We spent half our time discussing the view and the other half admiring the kitschy yet extremely interesting paintings hung in the lobby.

A hotel without basic facilities.
Pros:

No power backup.
No tandoor.
Non availability of most of menu items.
Reported washroom problems no one interested to rectify.
Door Locks not working.
Worst experience.

Good point.
Super deluxe Rooms has good scenic view.
