Hotel Stadt München

I booked for nights. When I arrived hotel check in counter, lady staff told me that can sleep one night and next day will transfer to another hotel. She told me two choice, stay one night and stander to another hotel one night or transfer two another two night. Because hotel slot to new owner. Hotel not sent mail to us. We knew at check in time. Duty lady staff is good, tried to contact to manager and other hotel same level. 1st one can not contact after transfer to Leonardo Royal Hotel. About 700 meters far from this hotel. Better hotel. When walk to Leonardo Royal I feel bad to hotel owner and hotel policy action.

The location of this hotel was very close to the train station and near some fantastic Asian cuisine options. The room was fine for what I paid. A little old-fashioned, but I don't mind that. There could have been more facilities on site for a 4 star hotel, like a separate bar area. I was on a stag weekend, so for the purposes of having a bed for the night, it was perfect and quiet.

Fine breakfast, very nice Thai restaurant just across the street.

Stayed in one of the single business rooms. Great value for money. Main station in walking distance.

This hotel was perfect for a short visit to Dusseldorf by myself. I booked a 'comfort' single room, which was spacious for a single person and had a generously-wide single bed. To be honest I didn't try adjusting the inflatable mattress, as I was very happy with the setting it was already on, but I was intrigued as I've never come across one of these before. The breakfast buffet was very well presented, with an excellent choice of a wide variety of dishes. The hotel was an easy walk from the main railway station, and I also walked to most of the places I visited in the city centre, though there were tram and bus stops nearby. Staff at reception and breakfast were very helpful and friendly. My only very small gripe is that the soap/shampoo provided was a little too harsh and astringent for me - I would have preferred something gentler on the skin.

Rude and unhelpful staff, very dated, horrible room. Had to move myself to another hotel, hotel refused to credit me for the remainder of the stay.

Big room, great location.

Brilliant hotel , clean , nice sauna and solarium , staff friendly and help out in any way they can, good location , breakfast carried plenty of selection and very nice

It’s older hotel but spacious and clean. Everything is functional very well. Did I mention A/C is probably the best I have seen in Germany? Location is great, walkable to many attractions and transportation. It’s also on a quiet street which is great. Overall, I would stay here again.

Great hotel

Great hotel in a in excellent location close to the central train station.

Excellent will stay again

The property was clean and parking was safe. The room was too hot. We asked for an electric fan and there was non available and no other solution offered. We couldn't have the window open as the street was too noisy.

Excellent high standard and comfortable, well equipped room - top floor, so I chose to get loads of exercise up and down the stairs instead of using the elevator.
Wide choice of options for breakfast too.
Looking forward to returning later this year.

Stayed here as part of a boys trip to Dusseldorf, Cologne and Dortmund.

Staff were all very friendly and approachable.

Rooms were spacious and cleaned every day.

Hotel's not too far from the mainline railway station.

Only drawback was, there is a small bar in reception but we still made use of it on our return at night.

We booked online and paid on arrival. There was an issue with the card machine only accepting certain bank cards. For example : wouldn't accept my Barclaycard ( contacted Barclays and their system showed no attempted transactions ) but DID accept my RBS credit card. Luckily I had more than one card with me ( don't take AMEX with you either as only Mastercard and Visa accepted).

Other than that, an enjoyable stay.

Handy to train station. Good variety of food nearby. Hotel had an awesome buffet at breakfast!!

Comfortable room, very convenient

If you want somewhere modern and trendy this hotel may not be for you, but if you want somewhere that is comfortable, friendly, spotlessly clean and offering a good breakfast then this hotel comes highly recommended.
