Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that hotel policy requires Muslim couples checking in to produce a marriage certificate upon arrival at the hotel. Kindly contact the hotel's front desk for further information.

Staff and location great - overpriced
Pros:

The location is super. Close to everything.

Cons:

The bed was ridiculously small - probably the smallest double bed I’ve ever seen. There was only one socket beside the bed and the other one was beside the front door. No water provided. Taxes are higher than other places and it’s over priced compared to other hotels.

Pros:

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When I told them I'm working online, they allocated a room near the server ( next to the reception area) and the wifi connection was awesome. All the cafes and food eateries are within walking distance and parking is within the hotel itself. This has been our 3rd stay at Chulia Heritage.

Cons:

Les chambres sont toutes au rez de chaussée donc même avec une grande fenêtre, pour moi la chambre manquait de lumière

I have stayed here for a few times already, and it will definitely be in my list to stay.
Pros:

I like the location; it's very near to a few eateries (just walking distance). They provide free parking space too so it is very convenient, knowing how hard it is to find side parking space in Georgetown. The staff who handled our check in and check out process was very polite, kind, and helpful.

Cons:

Only one think that I wasn't very satisfied. The room was not spacious and soundproof. But we were fine with that.

comfortable stay with friendly service
Pros:

I had a pleasant stay at Chulia Heritage Hotel Penang.

The staff, especially Natasya, provided excellent service and was very helpful throughout my stay.
The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and fast.
Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but it was manageable during my stay.
The hotel is located in a very strategic area, making it easy to reach nearby attractions around George Town.

Overall, it was a comfortable stay with friendly service and a great location. Would definitely recommend!

Do not recommend, if you ever go past it, make sure to cuss Natasha out for us.
Pros:

Location is good. That’s it.
Also, the day manager and the afternoon receptionist were so lovely and helpful.

Cons:

Okay so, they lost our luggage and it ended up in Thailand. Natasha the receptionist, you better count your days. Hotel is under renovation and the rooms are very small and not the cleanest.

The room was uncomfortable, and the bathroom layout was completely unacceptable. Although the bathroom was small, the shower was awkwardly positioned between the sink and the toilet bowl, making it very inconvenient to use. Overall, it was a disappointing experience!
