Friendly staff however the hotel needs updating
Pros:

The hotel is tired and in desperate need of updating. TV's are old and not smart. For a 5* hotel the service was inconsistent. It was addressed with the Front Office and they went out of their way to try and make up for the problems. The Club InterContinental lounge at this hotel is poor compared to others. Poor quality food offering at cocktail hour.

​I am writing to share my sincere gratitude for the incredible hospitality our family received during our recent stay.
​In particular, I want to highlight Neil and Surya at the concierge desk. They were absolutely amazing, handling every request with ease and going far beyond their duty to ensure our comfort. Their extra attention toward the seniors in our group was deeply touching; they truly made our stay feel cozy and homely.
​Additionally, we owe a great deal of appreciation to Yasmine. Her ability to orchestrate quick maneuvers ensured we were always addressed immediately. From managing laundry services to ensuring our safety during hotel transfers, her proactive approach was impressive.

I had a wonderful stay at the InterContinental Hotel The Pearl Doha, and I’d especially like to recognize two amazing staff members who truly made my experience memorable.

Raju from room service was exceptional — incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. His service was always prompt, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can genuinely feel how much he cares about guests.

I’d also like to thank Alam, who assisted with my bags. He was extremely helpful, polite, and welcoming, making both arrival and departure smooth and stress-free.

Both Raju and Alam are true assets to the hotel, and they reflect the high standards of hospitality InterContinental is known for. Thank you for such outstanding service — it made my stay even more special.

Exceptional Stay – Outstanding Service from Fatima, Nikkole & Charibel and May!

I recently stayed at InterContinental Doha The City, and once again, the experience was exceptional. This hotel has truly become my home away from home in Doha, and a major reason for that is the remarkable team who consistently go above and beyond.
A special thank you to Fatima (reception), Nikkole, May, Stacy, and Charibel (executive lunge whose professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality made my stay truly memorable. Each of them demonstrates an impressive level of care and efficiency, always ensuring that every detail is handled with attention and a smile. Their dedication reflects the high standards the InterContinental brand is known for.
Carlos in the pool area was most helpful.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming, the service is consistently excellent, and every stay feels personal and comfortable thanks to the wonderful team. I am grateful for the hospitality and look forward to returning soon.
