Mediocre
Pros:

We had the penthouse suite. It was NOT what I’m used to..,.The pool looked like it needed an extra splash of chlorine 🙄 basically no food worth eating in the cafe area… wouldn’t go back.

Beautiful Luxious and spacious beachside hotel!
Pros:

Loved the location, the room size, loved the spacious balcony, very clean and friendly staff. Also loved that there was a Starbucks in the lobby as well!

Cons:

The pillows seemed cheap and do not meet the quality of the hotel.

We were tired when we left due to no sleep. Last visit there.
Pros:

Location is wonderful. Facilities were clean. Have stayed here several times throughout the years.

Cons:

The room next to us had children screaming at 1:00 AM. Garbage truck slammed whole dumpsters while picking up trash at 5:30 AM on a Sunday morning.

Super Nice Staff and Great location
Pros:

For our first visit to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores we booked the Island House Hotel. Several aspects of our visit stand out: ALL the staff were super friendly, (special callout to Hilary in the restaurant), the location of the hotel, the quality of the food and drinks, and every room has a proper Gulf view. The hotel is located near several excellent restaurants and its location on Perdido Key and the beach offers a more intimate and relaxed experience.
While the hotel is clearly an older hotel, it has been refreshed.

Not our first stay and possibly a third stay in our future :)
Pros:

This was our second stay at DoubleTree Island House in Orange Beach, and it absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the staff and bartenders were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home.

Our room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the Gulf-front balcony views were simply spectacular. There’s nothing quite like starting the day with a cup of coffee while overlooking the ocean.

The food and drinks were excellent (thanks Heather) and the location is hard to beat—close to everything Orange Beach has to offer while still maintaining a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. One of the things we appreciate most is that it feels much more quaint and personal than staying in one of the massive high-rise condo towers. It offers all the convenience without the crowds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable beachfront getaway with great service, great food, and incredible views.
