Last minute search for an overnight stay on our tour, very surprised at quality of this quaint little hotel in a quiet location, but within easy travelling distance of tourist attractions. Will definitely use agin in the future.
Everything was perfect staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble and very friendly
We returned to this lovely old coaching inn for the first time in about 20 years, and it was very much the same. Elegantly and comfortably furnished, friendly staff, and an excellent restaurant, in a quiet rural location, not far from the Malvern hills. Our L-shaped room felt more like a suite, with a substantial sitting area (sofa and two chairs) and 3 windows looking out to trees and shrubs with blossom. Loved the birdsong, and we found wild orchids growing in the croquet lawn and surrounding fields.
We hope the owners will take care of the window frames outside, which need repainting.
Staff where excellent room was spotless and very comfortable food was good
Nothing
The hotel is located in a very pleasant relatively rural yet convenient location, my room was spacious and well appointed, quiet and comfortable with all amenities and a very comfortable bed.
I couldn't stay longer ......................
Breakfast was excellent. Service good wide range of food on offer.
We booked this hotel as it was a lovely location and looked perfect for a weekend away.
I booked requesting a ground floor room stating that I had some mobility problems and often needed to use a wheelchair. I was told by the General Manager that there was a room available.
On arrival we were told that we had a first floor room which was totally unsuitable for my needs..
The receptionist did her best to accommodate us, including liaising with the General Manager. She was unfortunately unable to as the hotel was fully booked.
We were extremely disappointed and after having a free drink left.
At no time did the General Manager come to talk to us himself.
Also I had booked a meal in the bar for 6.30 pm as we had our dog with us. Neither of these was noted on the booking in form.
Well kept lovely hotel, excellent food, first class service and staff.
New ownership, completely refurbished and brilliant stay! We stayed for 1 night and couldn't in any way find fault with this establishment. Both dinner in the evening and the hearty breakfast were excellently prepared, plentiful and made using quality ingredients. Friendly new staff, prompt service and attention to detail were in evidence. A quiet, peaceful setting and spacious, spotless rooms that were well-equipped! Will definitely be back.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay overall. Our room was impressively spacious, with a huge, comfortable bed that made it easy to unwind. While the room could benefit from some updating—particularly in terms of décor, furniture condition, and carpet cleanliness—it still offered excellent value for money and didn’t detract from our experience.
What really stood out was the warm and friendly staff, who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay, as well as the excellent quality of the food. We would happily return in the future.
Saw a deal.
Bought a deal.
What a lovely place. Recently refurbished we were told by a local.
A lovely greeting from the receptionist and an expansive room. I could be picky about some tired bits, but all in all a lovely night away.
NOW! The food. Superb!
My partner had chicken. I had lamb. Both cooked to perfection and the taste was excellent.
The waitress - Jolene, was attentive and on point. Top marks.
There only seemed to be three people on duty, but everyone was dealt with swiftly and cheerfully.
Everything way above the norm check in great check ot great breakfast fabulous dinner incredible , staf incredible
This is an excellent hotel. Staff are polite and efficient. Rooms and general decor first class. The chef has not failed to provide high quality and affordable cuisine. However I would advise guests to drive to the venue which is situated in a very rural setting with no bus routes to surrounding towns. But if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet getaway then this hotel is highly recommended.
Delightful location and our room was spacious and exuded old world elegance - although I do believe that there is some renovation change afoot. The food is of a very high standard prepared by a chef who really knows his stuff. The wine list is everything that one could wish and there is a good range of digestifs for a nightcap. Every member of staff that we connected with was friendly and very capable. We will definately return and invite friends to join us. This hotel deserves to be shared.
What a find! I went with my partner on a night's offer with dinner and breakfast and it was all superb. The room was large and super comfortable, clean and warm. The food was very good and the staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed the blend of nostalgic surroundings and those people who mention it being dated are being extremely fussy and are missing something that's rather special about this place. Well placed to visit Tewkesbury and other gems in the area.
Excellent 2 night stay. Friendly and well trained staff who were happy to provide the extras we needed. Excellent night's sleep and excellent food choices. Felt very pampered! Highly recommend!
We stayed a couple nights and used the restaurant on both occasions. Food was lovely, clearly made by a proper chef, and handled by trained lovely staff.
Sally on reception was brilliant, giving us tips on places to visit and miss the traffic. Ledbury was amazing, Malvern was lovely, be prepared for hills and step walks in the town.
It was great to be able to have a G&T sat by the pond and chill.
Definitely will return, it’s a great base/location to visit the area.
The staff especially the waiters are excellent. They make you feel like nothing is too much trouble. They are fantastic people.
Some of the facilities are a little tired for example, the bathroom sink taps were in need of replacement but the new owners are aware of this and we are sure the bedroom renovations will be next on their list
