About what we expected for a 3 star hotel.
Pros:

Breakfast is basic. No frills. Easy access and close to Northgate Parking, which is huge.

Cons:

One evening meal had obviously been kept warm for a period of time, which made the food a little dry andcrunchy.

Good but very noisy!
Pros:

The staff were amazing, very accommodating and welcoming. The pub has so much to offer, it had a really good ambiance. Rooms basic but clean except what looked like tea/coffee spillage stains on the walls. The towels super clean and soft.

Cons:

The location is great and building is beautiful but being completely honest I don’t know if we would stay again due to the outside noise. The rooms are set adjacent to the outside seating and it’s incredibly loud, we could hear conversations all afternoon whilst trying to rest after a long journey and no fault to the pub but the language was obscene!

Simple and cosy rooms in pub annex
Pros:

The room was cosy and warm, the bed comfortable, and the shower plentiful and hot. A good breakfast with cheese, cold meats, and toast and jam was included. There was plenty of room for stowing clothing and convenient bedside tables and lamps.

Cons:

The rooms are in a quiet annex behind the pub so not above the bar, but might be noisy in summer as they overlook the beer garden. The radiator in the bathroom did not work and there was no soap dish in the shower so had to put cosmetics on the floor.
