Ideal location for the Festival Theatre.
Free overnight street parking.
Pleasant ground floor room at the side of the pub garden; quiet at night.
At breakfast the coffee was good.
The ceiling of the shower was off putting.
The continental breakfast was adequate,
Very well situated for the theatre
There were areas of the room that had deep ingrained dirt that had clearly been there for years. The decor was grubby and paint yellowed and carpet rather creepy and not at all fresh. It would take very little to deep clean and refresh the decor. excellent location and friendly staff. the bedding was clean
Good location, friendly staff and lovely clean room with en suite. Continental breakfast was great.
Nothing we didn’t like.
Bedrooms small but nice and clean, although looking a bit tired and in need of a refurb.
Breakfast very disappointing. Continental only included but pastries very dry, sliced bread for toast, no marmalade, insipid salumi and cheese that looked as though it had come from a supermarket. A pity because the lively town is well served for bakery and deli products.
A cooked breakfast can be purchased as an add-on and looked good on the menu but can't be ordered until 10.00 a.m..
The building has all the attributes to be a really nice small town inn, but falls well short of it's maximum potential.
However the staff are exceptional, in particular the young guy who checked us in and out.
Friendly staff
Booked taxi for me, carried bag etc
Room comfortable
Room very hot no fan meant I couldn’t sleep
Although beer garden shut at 10 30 there were a few people talking until 1 30.
Food I wanted sold out so I had to have something else
Perfectly placed for the Festival Theatre
Location was good - that's about it. Plenty of outdoor space + pool tables / darts. Reasonable selection of beers and also screens for watching sport. Bathroom in the room was in good condition and the saving grace for the room.
Room was pretty basic. TV didn't work and the fan (which was well needed) was just about serviceable enough.
Someone must have lost their key so decided to bang on the door next to mine at around 230 in the morning. Walls are very thin so heard everything.
I also got double charged after giving my card details and had to call the next day to get a refund for the 2nd charge.
Convenient and very clean - staff were lovely
It was a pub with accommodation and good value
The pub was in an ideal location, just a short walk to the centre of Chichester and where we needed to be.There is plenty of city parking in the car parks just a short walk away.
The room was at the back of the pub and on the ground floor, proberbly a converted stable block and was fronted by the pubs garden area. The room it self was a good size and comfortable.
The room was fine but tired. Could do with a little make over and it would lift it.
Breakfast was a basic continental and could be better.A little more choice of meats and cheeses and fruit would be good and more variation on the bread available, rolls, French stick etc, rather than just sliced bread.
Room dirty and tired. Television not operational. Fan damaged and unusable. Room was not serviced.
A rave booked for Saturday 4th & not advised. God awful music and ridiculously loud with speakers pointing directly towards the rooms. Advised that doors would be closed at 9pm and music not audible. Music was not turned down and still very audible until 11.30pm which was unacceptable.
