Hotel Buenavista

The hotel is centrally located, on the Estepona waterfront. But take in mind that Estepona is just around 2 km from side to side, so location in the town is not crucial. The room was quite spacious, but due unoptimal furniture layout it was not very convenient.
There is TV, wardrobe, AC, no fridge, table, shower, toilet in a separate room with bidet. The furniture is quite dated.
The Internet is good and quick. When I was checking in, I found that maids in my room still finishing the cleaning.
This was a hint what is yet to come, but I didn't pay an attention.
I left my prescription medicine along with sleeping mask and earplugs next to a bed and it disappeared the next day.
I went to speak to the concierge, but they were not very helpful. They said they searched the trash and found nothing,
but I'm not sure they even bother to actually searched.
I believe the reason for this mishap is that hotel doesn't have a trash bin in the room, so probably maids put trash in the plastic bags,
and they mistook my stuff for a trash.
I could not buy a replacement in the Spanish pharmacy.
The location is relatively of quiet, even there is quite busy pedestrian street behind the hotel.
There is a Coviran 250, Mercadona in 950m, Lidl in 1.1km, ALDI in 1.3km. The bus stop in front of Ayuntamiento in 400m is for traveling towards
Marbella and Gibraltar, but not all buses stop there. The bus station is in 2.1km.
The long Estepona beach is just in front of the hotel.

Possibly the saddest hotel in the whole of Estepona, PLEASE avoid. As you will see they show ZERO photos of the hotel itself, only of the surrounding area which is lovely.

The lady in charge does not want to be there and she hates customers but loves their money. The service is basically a vending machine. No bar or anything.

The rooms are VERY basic and not comfortable. AVOID this place if you can.

The hotel is tired dated and dank. The staff are unfriendly, I’m not sure they are Spanish. The guests were noisy and the smell of smoke was everywhere. I’d say the Moroccan uber drivers that live there and the strange woman who told us we stole her food and that this was Morocco are quite content.

Good clean hotel very helpful staff secure parking was over the road in a permit side of the public car park this was monitored by an angry Spanish man as we found out as one of our bikes had a puncture and he wouldn’t let us push it up the in ramp after some time he calmed down and we managed to get the bike out and repaired.

Very central with everywhere within easy walking distance
Staff friendly helping with directions
Couldn’t fault it for the excellent value for money

El hotel estaba cerrado y nadie nos avisó antes de llegar. Ni hotels.com ni el alojamiento.Tuvimos que buscar oteo alojamiento.

We took 10 euro lunch set which we assumed should be prepared to go fast as we wanted to do more things in the afternoon. However we had to wait for the food for more than 30 minutes and the restaurant was understaffed for lunch time, the quality is what you pay for, 2 meals and a dessert for 10 euros.

One night stay on the way to Ronda

Goodness. This place looked ok on Booking as the photos they show are mainly of the promenade and the beach, and very few of the sad hotel itself. We were "greeted" by a surly lady at the front desk and she really set the tone for our one night stay. The room was very basic and the hotel has no breakfast facilities. Luckily it has a great, central location so we walked into the lovely town and we found an excellent place to eat in the evening and also for breakfast.

The hotel is really quite sad and REALLY needs some serious work, the furniture is from the 1980s and is not in a good way.
