Baan Manthana Hotel

We have stopped several times at this hotel when visiting Hua Hin and it is perfect for us. No bar, lounges, or gimmicks but large clean rooms, queen size comfy bed, tv and good air-con. This hotel is close to the night market, amenities and a quick tuk-tuk ride from the beach. It also has a lovely clean pool for cooling off when required. Above all, this hotel is cheap and with caring efficient staff. We find it as the perfect base to go off to the national parks, fishing venues and go exploring!

Hotel is ok with big rooms, aircon and hot water. Not long to the beach. Ordered a taxi from there. But giving customer a taxi with broken aircon to bkk is a no. Will not use them for order a taxi again. Check your cars in the future would be nice...

This is the perfect place to stay in old town. Steps from the night market and the old town patio with live music. 2 7-11s, and a lot of restaurants and street vendors.

Located close to the famous night market and many reasonably priced restaurants. This hotel is in a cul de sac which is very quiet. It's around 10 minutes walk to the beach and many bars and tourist areas. The room was very quiet, comfortable and lots of very hot water in the shower. I have stayed in 38 hotels this year in Thailand, with 6 being in Hua hin. I will definitely stay here again.

Simple and easy hotel with very good location. We had both Superior and Deluxe rooms, and everbody was happy with the rooms. Very good beds and matresses

Hidden Gem of the Hua Hin Hotel market.
The Hotel is in a very quiet Soi, however, the area around the Hilton is in walking distance.

Perfect position just off the road. Room a decent size with shower over bath. Pool and terrace quiet. Annex has its own entrance just yards from a night market and restaurants. Plenty of shops nearby for essentials like beer and water.
A word of warning and this applies to most of the town centre. Two or three vehicles with enormous speakers on the roof drive around bellowing some advertising from 7.30am. Not too intrusive in the room but sitting on the balcony can be painful!!

At first sight I was like what the...
BUT this place grows on you . If you don't look for a fancy beach resort and want to be in the middle of everything but still want a quiet area when you sleep then you book here .
It is located next to marketplace , 5 minute walk to the beach , 5 minute tuktuk to galleria , food and bars all around you and still you're on a quiet street when retire for the night.
The poolarea looks amazing in the pictures but when I saw it I must say I was disappointed, but even this grows on you and its actually a nice relaxing area to cool down .
Hotel offers no food but as I said before you are surrounded by food .
Will definitely choose this again

A nice surprice - seaview from balcon, large room, bathtub with shower and rainshower. Hotel was situated right next to the nightmarket. Very quite away from traffic down a little dead end street - perfect.
Small but clean pool.
This little gem I will gladly return to.

Good clean rooms centrally located within walking distance of local amenities.

Staff attentive, swimming pool was small but ideal for kids.

Has free parking for about 15 cars but this can become full quickly at holidays or weekends and street parking is limited.

Would recommend for the budget

staffs unfriendly, bad tv signals not work for 2 days staffs don't care about customers, don't even smile or ask about our problem with the Tv has been slove dated hotel!.phone not even work when try to call the lobby horrible hotel!!

Set in a quiet location within walking distance of shops and entertainment. Quick & easy check-in, no porterage, spacious room with furnished balcony. Deluxe Double Room with Sea view - room had a few shelves but no drawers so storage space was limited. However it did have a comfortable 1.8m wide bed with bedside tables, long desk unit with tv, kettle (with supplies refreshed daily, along with 2 bottles of water). The room was well lit, the bathroom had rain shower and hand spray and the hot water was almost instant. Daily maid service and fresh towels. Remote controlled air con very efficient. Empty fridge so plenty of room to store cheap supplies from the 7/11 across the road. Small digital safe in the wardrobe, which had adequate hanging space and hangers. I was on the 7th floor and the wifi varied from very good to very frustrating (fading in and out every couple of minutes at times and painfully slow).

There were 4 free sockets in the room, 5 if you unplugged the tv. Facilities at reception were very basic - they didn't even have the facility to print something out for me and most of the staff had very little English but were always polite and tried to help.

Security is a little questionable as the reception is in a separate building to the accommodation and can be by-passed via the side road. However, there are CCTV cameras in the accommodation block but I have no idea if any actually work or are monitored. The night porters were sitting or lying down in reception every time I saw them.

Ideal for a short break.
