Hotel Flores - Adults Only

I’ve stayed here at least three times and the service is amazing and the rooms are good, and very clean, you can walk to the beach in 5 to 7 minutes and to shopping in about the same amount of time.

Stayed many times and it’s always been reliable. Nice pool area and rooms are more than adequate.

Felt welcomed and safe. This hotel is small, like an Airbnb but there was always staff around. Great location, walking distance to the beach, 3 supermarkets and the local shops.

Was a perfect hotel

Fantastic little hotel. A bit loud, but to be expected from Tamarindo. Easy access to shops, restaurants, and close to the beach. Great staff, very kind!!

The property was amazing!! Very secluded, but right in the middle of everything. Amazing coffee shop onsite. Wifi, pool. And Walter was amazing, cleaned the room whenever we asked & did an amazing job & was very friendly.

A little further from the beach but makes up for it in quiet

Hotel Flores is an undiscovered gem. Hotel manager Walter is always helpful and when we arrived he gave us a quick run through of the property and our room. The second we showed up we saw a massive iguana right in front of the property and later on there were howler monkeys in the trees above us. A surreal experience, the pool was amazing and almost always empty. The coffee shop on the property is also very popular and for good reason. Just a short walk away from downtown Tamarindo, this property was amazing and if we ever visit Tamarindo again we will definitely be staying here again.

It was okay for a short stay, but ni more than a 3 star

I was concerned when I first realized that the hotel is located on a bustling street in Tamarindo. But when I got into my room that concern went away. The buildings are set back from the road quite a way, and have air conditioning. I am noise sensitive and was not bothered at all.

Staff was friendly, the room was clean, the shower had hot water, the wifi and A/C worked perfectly. I did not use the pool, but the pool and its area looked clean and pleasant.

Bonus- great coffee and pastries at the shop "next door" which is virtually on-site.

Convenient location!

A great location. Property very clean and secluded . Great value. Only downside a little dated on furniture. But overall good.

The property was close to the beach, Thursday night market and the downtown area. We did not have to drive anywhere.

The room we had was filthy and the sheets were stained. They came to clean it again, somewhat better. The person cleaning was so kind but I don't think he was trained well about how to clean. He did his best with the supplies he had.

Nice hotel, central location!

Walter the host was warm, and very nice. Hotel room had a small kitchen, and is conveniently located. Easy to get in and out of tamarindo. I would highly recommend it to people who are used to Costa Rica accommodations. Saw some monkeys from our hotel room, and a few very cute cats.

Hideaway. Close to beach. Honeymoon destination

The pool was beautiful and refreshing, The Flores is so centrally located to all the bars and restaurants in Tamarindo we walked everywhere we wanted to go. We enjoyed Chippie the hotel cats company as well.

Are there more fancy--and expensive--places to stay in Tamarindo? Of course. But what we found at the Hotel Flores was a homier and more personal touch. The rooms could probably do with an upgrade or two, but we did not miss them in the least. And the room and bathroom were both clean and the a/c worked well providing a cool escape during the day and a comfortable sleep at night. For us, the room is a place to sleep while the destination is the place to explore. And having said that, we actually spent a bit more time at this hotel than we usually do. We especially loved the courtyard pool, an intimate and lovely oasis. The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the heart of Tamarindo but just far enough down a dusty road to enjoy the quiet. There are a couple of supermarkets, bank ATM, coffee shop, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. just down the road on the way to the beach. Adding to the feel of a Costa Rican homestay was the manager, Walter. Always friendly, helpful and sporting a big smile, he greeted us at the ornate gates [another great touch] upon arrival. And as soon as we made the reservation, communication with the hotel was excellent. As an added bonus, on several afternoons a tribe of howler monkeys would come into the trees next door to feed and play and iguanas would sun themselves on the reception building roof. Great location. Great value. Great experience. When we return to Tamarindo, we will stay at the Hotel Flores!

The property was clean and organised. Very spacious room with a kitchen. Walter was very friendly and kind when received us and always there if we needed anything. The property was very well located, next to a big grocery store, walking distance to restaurants, bars, city centre and beach. Recommend to dtay there for sure.
