Everything was fabulous, the food in the restaurant was exceptional, the staff were absolutely amazing, the prices were great as we had lunch and dinner at the hotel… will definitely be returning there again , a big thank you to all the staff, we really loved the Clarendon Hotel…😘

Great location. Basic room.
Pros:

Location is right on the old main street in Newcastle, 5 minutes walk to the beach and a number of great restaurants and other venues. 2 Minute walk to the Civic Theatre. Staff at reception were lovely.

Cons:

Cleanliness wasn't great, the room was shabby and the bed wasn't too comfortable. I needed earplugs to block out the noise from the airconditioning fan. To be honest, I will probably stay elsewhere next time.

Really great- we will stay here again
Pros:

It was a perfect location for us. Easy to get to from Newcastle interchange on the light rail. Just a short walk from the light rail station waterfront and the civic theatre. It’s an old hotel but the staff were lovely and the room was very comfortable

It does the job, don't expect too much though
Pros:

It did the job. No where to park your car to check in, which makes it hard, as you cant drop bags off and the car park is a while away. The rooms are spacious enough for a couple of nights.

Cons:

There is no where to park your car for check in / luggage drop off. The bar down stairs can get quite noisy, and when you are walking in and out of the place there can we a-lot of drunk people near by. The rooms did not look like the photos and they weren't as clean as i expected.
