Lemonthyme wilderness retreat is situated down an 8km gravel road. Please when coming to our resort take Dolcoath road as GPS may take you down Bull Creeks road which is now closed down as a 4X4 track only.
Please note upon your journey to our retreat google maps may be inaccurate. It may send you down a private property track. To ensure you are in the right direction please follow cradle mountain road and do not turn off until you reach Dolcoath road- this is an 8kilometre gravel road and has no turns, just follow it until you reach our property.

The isolation far from any town or roads. However for some people this could be disconcerting. The main building is made from logs. Apparently one of the largest log cabin buildings in the southern hemisphere. The rooms are large and have very high ceilings and some grouped in two per house which are all separate from the main building. They feed the Pademelons, Wallabies and sometimes Possums each evening at 20:30, so if you've missed these animals it's a good opportunity to see them up close.
It's a 8km drive on an unsealed road after you've left the main road between Cradle Mountain and Moina. In times of heavy rain or snow there are places where the road could be very difficult.
The breakfast was excellent.
Staff attitude was abysmal. The only person that showed any attempt to be friendly and helpful was a casual waitress from Spain.
The other breakfast staff were downright miserable ,rude even, breakfast plonked down on the table without a word.
We asked for information on walks. Reply was a finger pointed and " Brochures over there".

Comfy beds ,good bathroom, breakfast was excellent 👌 dinner was nice and the tranquillity great .
Some lights were not working, toaster didn't work ,lounge chairs uncomfortable..could only use 1 pool que with a buggered tip ,

The road in is a bit rough but not an issue if you drive to the conditions. Enjoy the view if you are the passenger.
The staff were exceptional and very professional with guest experience.
The food in the restaurant excellent.
The bathroom in the chalet was excellent and the bed very comfortable
The short walks around the property enhanced the stay and the feeding of the wildlife every might wad truly a memorable

The upstairs game room needs some love and attention
The pool table pockets were broken
Table Tennis rackets really old.
The couches in the rooms need updating and some cosy throws and games would make all the difference to guest stays

A really cool hotel, with big rooms, activities and the resturant was delicious.
Google maps takes you through someones property and you have to back track quite a way.

Bed needs an update
This place was amazing! We drove in at night (long driveway) and were ushered in part of the way by a possum on the road. It was a magical hideaway and the main building was beautiful with a roaring fireplace. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was the best according to my little ones! They also loved the games room. My son had hurt his leg previously so we didn't get to wander much but look forward to coming back to explore in winter
I was looking forward to keeping us warm and cosy with a fireplace experience for my little ones in our room to find it wasnt working. The staff were lovely and set one up for us in place of the electric blow heater option so we had the fireplace look still.
The games room was fun for my little ones but could do with some updates and maybe a little tv with kids dvds or additional colouring books. They did enjoy ping pong haha and their team was called little wackers. Overall nothing bad at all!
To far away from anything and not a very safe road to drive in on
The food was amazing. We had the brisket, sticky date pudding & the choc Raspberry brownie.

Beautiful place in middle of the forest. We loved our cabin. It was very comfortable and spacious.
The location was incredible, the staff were amazing and went above and beyond with help and enquires. we loved the lodge, the bar, the animal feedings.
The heaters are not great and the cabins are older but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay regardless
