Lemonthyme wilderness retreat is situated down an 8km gravel road. Please when coming to our resort take Dolcoath road as GPS may take you down Bull Creeks road which is now closed down as a 4X4 track only.

Please note upon your journey to our retreat google maps may be inaccurate. It may send you down a private property track. To ensure you are in the right direction please follow cradle mountain road and do not turn off until you reach Dolcoath road- this is an 8kilometre gravel road and has no turns, just follow it until you reach our property.

Can’t fault the actual room , extremely nice . Big bath and massage chair were a bonus .

Gotta say the road coming in needs plenty of attention . Pothole city , it goes for about 8km . Takes 15-20 minutes to drive . Plenty of spots where you have to come close to a stop . The other thing would be total lack of wifi in the rooms . Yes it’s nice to switch off and relax for sure . But from time to time wifi is just a must . I think if those things are looked at , it will make it a much better experience .

A beautiful wilderness experience in luxury!
Pros:

It truly is a wilderness retreat!! The drive in is a well maintained dirt road for 8km. Don’t let it put you off!!
What you find is a beautiful place to relax and unwind.
We stayed in the deluxe suite it was Amazing!! We even had a visit from a Mumma Possum. The food at the restaurant was so delicious both breakfast and dinner. I can’t recommend this place enough!!! You are close enough to cradle Mtn to do day trips. Treat yourself to a closeness to nature in a luxurious accommodation 🤗

Cons:

The road in seemed long on the way in but it was worth it!

Rooms were comfortable, good breakfast, great location.

Cons:

Restaurant was very over rated. Food was very expensive for what was received.
Staff were not as welcoming or friendly as we have experienced in the past.
One of our 2 rooms we booked had a broken heater. Took a lot of time to get a temporary replacement sorted. Should not be booking out a room in the middle of winter without a working heater!

Great break away, relaxing, but a little pricey for what we got.

Cons:

Rooms are starting to show their age, although they were comfortable. The floor heating in the bathroom was not working. Couldn’t sit on the balcony because there was poop on the table and chairs.
