The isolation
Nothing
We loved the location. The chalets are beautiful , private and cosy (heating was good). Staff was very welcoming. The wilderness around is enchanting. Encountered Tasman Devlis in evening.
Nothing
- secluded area
- nature walks from accommodation
- lounge and theatre areas with chess board, books
- open fireplace in dining hall
- comfortable beds
- warm heat pump
- modern bathroom
- friendly and attentive staff
- 20min return drive off the main road
- accommodation was clean and tidy however being in the wilderness there are lots of little insects, ants and bugs. Didn’t mind but good to be aware of.
Wilderness location, friendly & knowledgeable staff, facilities in the main lodge & individual cottages

The staff were lovely
The location (particularly the road access was terrible) the place was overgrown and run down as anything and the food was inedible (had to send back 2 mains which we never ever do) it was disappointing
Spectacular resort in the middle of the forest! Everything is hand made with rustic wood !
The restaurant is beautiful with fire places!
The chalet is very big and the heater keep it very warm !
Breakfast included was delicious!
Nice walks can be done starting from the resort !
8 km of not seal road to drive to reach the place . ( even if the road is well maintained)
The cabins were rustic, beautiful, comfortable and warm, in a wilderness setting. The beds were comfortable and the staff friendly and pleasant. It was within a half hour’s drive of Cradle Mountain National Park.
It was not easy to get information about the restaurant online and we only found out when we were seated at our table that there was no à la carte menu, but we had to commit to a 2 or 3 course menu at $59 and $75, respectively. The food was average and not good value for money.
Very cosy
Everything except dinner
Lousy dinner. Pork belly tough and soggy crackling
Rustic accommodation with all we needed for time together with friends
The restaurant menu and food was more of a basic counter-meal - poor standard for a high-priced accommodation with no dining options nearby.
Secluded and beautiful. Lovely cabins, very warm and cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included and the massage chair made it worth while.
A bit hard to get to but lovely secluded in the midst of the Forrest. The houses as such were quite nice, especially the newly renovated one my friends got. Their bathroom was nice and they had lounge room furniture.
I was given the old style house, old bathroom, and it had no furniture in the lounge. It pisses me off to no end that as a solo traveller I get always given the worst house on the property. The lounge table and armchairs were completely missing in mine. As a solo traveller I pay double what a couple pays and every time I get the worst room. Your lodge isn’t cheap for a single person so a bit consideration should have been given. It’s so annoying!!!!
Excellent location, wilderness, very friendly staff & good food.
WiFi is vry weak.
Private and beautiful ❤️ a Great escape.
Nothing
Cabin accommodation was beautiful. Very private. Heater was on for our arrival. Beautiful waterfalls at the property.
Nil, we loved our overnight stay. The gravel road in made me a little nervous!
