We absolutely loved our stay at Georges Hotel Galata. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a unique atmosphere that perfectly combines history, elegance, and comfort. The location is outstanding—right in the heart of Galata, within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, cafés, and the city’s main attractions. The staff were genuinely warm, professional, and always happy to help. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet, and view is amazing , best ever had. Breakfast on the terrace with its breathtaking view was one of the highlights of our stay. Every detail made us feel welcome, and we truly enjoyed every moment.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t change a thing.

Location, location, location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. 100 meters from Galati Tower but so quiet. View from breakfast terrace is spectacular.

I will return to this hotel over and over again.
Pros:

Our experience was wonderful from the very moment we arrived. We were greeted by two gentlemen at the door who kindly helped us with our luggage, offered refreshments, and even a sweet treat. When they learned it was our first time in Turkey, they surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful room with a balcony and stunning sea views.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with a tea-and-coffee station and complimentary water. Breakfast was equally memorable, with breathtaking views overlooking the Bosphorus and Topkapi Palace.

The location is excellent, tucked away on a quiet side street yet only a few minutes' walk from Galata Tower. However, what truly makes this hotel special is its exceptional staff. Their warmth, knowledge, attentiveness, and genuine care set this hotel apart. They make you feel like a truly valued guest and go above and beyond to help with any request.

I would happily return again and again. Outstanding service and genuine hospitality make all the difference, and this hotel delivers both beautifully.

Cons:

There was a design fault with the shower, causing water to run onto the bathroom floor. I am unsure whether this was only in room 10 or a general fault.

Chic, welcoming hotel in fantastic hilltop Istanbul location
Pros:

The location was excellent, and the room was beautiful--as was this rest of this bijoux boutique hotel, which felt very appropriate to Istanbul, with luxurious rugs, patterned tiled floors, intricate woodwork, etc. We especially appreciated the view from our balcony. The staff were also very warm and welcoming.

Perfect location with great views form the terrace and welcoming staff.
Pros:

The roof top terrace and the welcome of the team there. Absolutely worth paying a little more for the higher rooms for the sea view. We had to move to a "garden" room after the first two nights.

Cons:

The en-suites are effectively glass boxes with blinds, you need to know your partner well.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt & fantastische Terrasse

Wir hatten einen ausgezeichneten Aufenthalt im Galata Hotel. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der wunderschöne, grüne und ruhige Innenhof – ein echter Luxus mitten in einer so lebhaften Gegend von Istanbul.
Die Schlafqualität war hervorragend. Die Matratzen und Kissen waren sehr komfortabel, sodass wir nach langen Tagen in der Stadt wunderbar schlafen konnten.
Ein besonderes Lob gilt dem Personal: Alle Mitarbeitenden waren außerordentlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und professionell. Sie haben uns sogar bei Problemen mit einem externen Taxiunternehmen unterstützt und die Situation schnell und unkompliziert gelöst.

Cons:

Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Boutique Hotel in the prettiest street in Istanbul
Pros:

The property is located in the most beautiful street in Istanbul. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the Bosphorus and surrounding city. The room was styled properly and tastefully. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, they were always checking whether we needed any help. The restaurant is on the top floor overlooking the Bosphorus as well.

Cons:

As I mentioned to the nice gentleman who asked for feedback on anything that could be improved, the bath mat could have been longer to avoid water leaking into the floors. The shower had half glass to complement the room style and the water could reach the floor if not being careful. He told me they were very well aware of the issue but the style prevented them from making changes. I thought it was very honest and I was pleased that they already knew. Thus, this comment also highlights a big positive from the staff at the property.

Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr gut und der Blick vm Balkon auf den Bosporus einmalig, das Personal ist besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit; Frühstück auf der Terrasse ist sehr gut aber auch sehr teuer wie alles in Istanbul.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind geräumig und bequem aber bräuchten eine Renovierung; die Lichtsituation im Zimmer und im Stiegenhaus sollte besser sein.
