We booked through a UK travel agent and received a standard room.
When we arrived this turned out to be what can only be described as a concrete tent, with no furniture. The bed was on a plinth under the eaves meaning you had to shuffle about a metre to enable you to sit up without hitting the roof.
This room is not advertised on their website, and when you check you think you're getting the cheapest on the website - so make sure you get what they call the deluxe or higher.
Luckily it was only for 5 nights
The rest of the hotel was fine.
There was very little natural light and no balcony
Family of four stayed for 5 nights while on a 2 week trip. Lovely hotel, rooms, staff and breakfast food. Used the gym and pool quite a few times and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Pool bar and main bar always empty due to the time of year but you have bars, restaurants and a seven 11 within a short walking distance so you won’t be stuck.
Rooms really clean, bed comfy. Only downside, bar is so, so hot, even with aircon unit. Restaurant was huge, vast selection of food, luckily we seemed to miss the rain, and within a short walking distance of ammenaties.if returning to thailand, would definately return here.
Krabi is one the best towns of Thailand, my personal favorite too. We stayed in Deevana Plaza. Since it was 4 star, expected similar standards but our stay was quite comfortable. The Check-in was very smooth and room was nice even though not huge. It had a nice balcony. The staff at reception were very courteous and responsive. Even though the restaurant was open type without AC yet it was very airy. The whole place was very lively. We requested for little late checkout and they were kind enough to accommodate us. Lot of Indians and Asians were staying here and most interesting thing was Indian Masala Tea at breakfast, otherwise breakfast had good variety, though bakery is less. They made sure that there were couple of Indian dishes in the buffet breakfast too.
The location of Hotel is fantastic, couple of hundred meters from beach and 10 minutes walk to night market. The moment you step out, you have all restaurants, tour operators and massage parlors.
They even provided with extra beach towels and a beautiful bag in the room cupboard, which we could carry around and later return it, a big blessing because on tours you really need this. Housekeeping is good. and even the staff at restaurant. I would definitely like to repeat whenever I get opportunity.
all great except you would need to walk for your room, long walk with stairs.
We have booked this hotel for 3 night and our experience is not so good.
Hotel Staff is rude and on any request thaey ask for charge. Even for new glass in room they ask for charge. Very strict rule. Breakfast is not good. No Service.
Only location is good.
Service and staff is worst. Not recommended for indian traveller at all.
Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights during our travels in Thailand. Lovely and clean large hotel within walking distance of the beach. Staff accommodating and room lovely and big.
Food at the hotel was ok. Compared to the other hotels we have visited not as much choice.
Washroom was clogged
Excellent property with all amenities, including gym, spa, kids play area and multiple swimming pools. Buffet breakfast has a good spread. Good for families with kids. Close to Ao nang beach area which has food and shopping areas.
A lovely hotel and the staff were very pleasant. We loved out room that open straight onto the pool.
Massage at hotel is good
Nice location on quiet street. The hotel is laud out nicely. The breakfast options were pretty good. There are a lot of water features around the pool, garden and restaurant but most of these were off for whatever reason during my stay. The same for 1 side of the jacuzzi. The rooms are a decent size, but the shampoo and shower gel are a bit cheap.
Excellent property and ambience. Rooms facing the pool. We ordered pizza for room service (thankfully they had a veg option there) and it was so tasty!! Breakfast buffet had very very limited option for vegetarians.. they should consider adding more especially because they get lot of people from India. Otherwise no complaints and all great about this place
Cleaning needs more attention in this hotel. The sheats and pillowcases were dirty and the towels are broken and very thin.
There were others rubbish in our room when we came in.
Breakfast was very good and location quite good, I think.
The workers in hotel didnt look very happy.
The pool was slim .
We dont come back.
My wife and myself are currently holidaying in Krabi and are coming towards the end of an enjoyable 3 night stay at the Deevana Plaza located at the far end of Aonang - comfortable 10/15 minute walk away from both the Beach and the Main Street.
The rooms are spacious with all the usual amenities (although our room safe wasn’t working on arrival and - despite having reported this to Reception - still isn’t!), plenty of hot water and good internet access.
Our stay is on a half-board basis with both Breakfast and Dinner served Buffet style in the Ground Floor Kingfisher Restaurant. There is a good range of dishes available to cater for the wide range of guests.
There is a long central Swimming Pool which didn’t appeal (certainly wouldn’t want one of the Pool Access rooms) but we were fortunate to have access to the far superior option next door at the Deevana Krabi - well worth considering!
The biggest asset are the staff (possibly with the exception of the Room Safe Service Engineer!) who - across the board - were most welcoming.
Service is very bad. Location is average. Reception staffs are very rude. Food is good. I would not recommended the hotel in this budget. There are many better hotel with better service in the area. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Nice, clean and peaceful hotel with good friendly service on handy location. Short walking distance to beach, but enought to silence the noise from the beach street. Great for relaxing on your holiday. Room service, good air conditioning, good bathroom, free shuttle to beach, tours can be ordered straight from the lobby, pool is kind like a small jungle river with a waterfall, pool bar with a happy hour, own balcony... I liked it.
I came to really enjoy this hotel. The rooms and outer corridors to the rooms are dated - they could use freshening up - for example, my room had an iron impression on the wood desk in the room - someone must have left it on there to long. That said my room was in building four and was on the top floor all the way in the corner. It was so peaceful on the balcony overlooking green trees and a bit of the pool - very quite. The breakfasts were amazing - so many choices including egg station, fresh fruit and so much more. The pool was amazing - stretching through the entire campus of the buildings, though sections of the pools have very steep inclines which I think should be addressed - quite slippery and saw a lot of people, including my self slip. There are a very limited of chaise lounge chairs by the pools as well so best if you go early and grab one or two. For the most part, guests were courteous around the pools. Staff were generally pleasant though they didn't seem to go out of there way to help. The people selling tours at the hotel were nice but really had no details nor were they interested in hearing feedback about the experiences. They only serve as a middle person which is common in Thailand but unfortunate, as one of the tours I bought from them was definitely not as advertised but there seemed to be no recourse. The rooms were simple, each contained a safe and the location was fairly convenient to everything I needed; 7-11, laundry services, food, beach, etc. I walked from the hotel to the Monkey Trail - it's a good walk but very doable - best to do it early in the morning before all of the long tail boats come into the beach area and crowds start to emerge.
The hotel was very good. There was so great man working in Sunbird poolbar named Duch. We want You to know that he serve us so good.
Also there was a lovely, friendly and smiling girl working in restaurant named Yoh. Tell them our regards.
The last evening we stay at hotel was awful. There comes a lot of Indian people and they swim in the pool with they clothes on. They dont believe when personal ask they to come out of the pool. They were really noisy, walking in other peoples balcony and crowded the hole pool.
The location is very good, close to beaches and amenities. The hotel itself is well designed but needs some refurbishment as it looks very out dated. The breakfast was very poor in terms of quality and lacked local food options.
