Pros:

Great location, great room location nice and close to the pool. Over all we loved it there.

Cons:

The pillows were to big to high gave me a sore neck.

Eye opening to the world and disappointing street drugs at night
Pros:

Pool .service .close to everything.plenty of water given

Cons:

The room was run down .the bathroom door someone had damaged it before .towel rail broken and mozzies in room.walking around was good ground was a little damaged .the bed was firm pillows lumpy.

Great hotel in good position
Pros:

Love the proximity to everything, easy walk to beach
Rooms very clean
Good aircon
Even though close to bar, there was no noise

Cons:

Would prefer hand held shower, but shower worked well

My bed should be thrown out, I woke with a sore back most days. Good location, close to bars and nighttime music. Needs

My bed was terrible even after my asking for a topper. For the first week most days I had a complete- shower button would not work, safe instructions were not right so I had to call for help. The door leading to the patio lock kept getting stuck, I didn’t complain about this because I was a bit over it

Pros:

Really enjoyed breakfast. It was probably the only good thing about this hotel.

Cons:

Paid $190NZ for two nights. Compared to other accommodation options we found this far too expensive for the value of the resort. It was extremely loud and close to a busy bar connected to the hotel. These details were a disclaimed in the description of the hotel on booking.com. The room was dark and and had a mould smell. We won’t be returning unfortunately

Overall a good place to stay on a moderate budget. Centrally situated clean with friendly and efficient staff .
Pros:

I have been staying at Garden View Resort since 1990 so know it very well. Stayed in the hotel part this year as I am getting older and no steps to get up and down. Staff are very good they are friendly and efficient. Had breakfast there one day it’s buffet style and is adequate but we like to try different venues for a change. Hotel room was clean bathroom has nice walk in shower and good A/C. Has 2 pools the rooftop pool area has cabanas and pool lounges and is adults only. The only problem for me is that I can’t get out of the pool it has a very high ledge that is impossible for me to climb up on to get out. A ladder would be very helpful but I have suggested that years ago but still the same. Overall a reasonably priced hotel Y Bar at the front you can’t hear the noise from it in the room. Very good staff and close to cafes restaurants and shopping.

Cons:

Nothing that I didn’t like apart from the need for a ladder to get out of the pool for older guests.

I wouldn't stay again even if they paid me

The location was ok..... I guess

Cons:

Everything basically, the staff were 99% rude and unprofessional.. (expessially the chubby little turd and the older looser at reception that treated us like dogs)
The food was disgusting...
The Y bar was loud and full of drunk slobs...
They kicked us out 4 days early claiming we didn't pay even tho we did.. they gave us 5min to pack up and leave
The exchange rate was a joke to cash money..
The beds sucked..
Tv barely worked in the rooms..

The location was perfect close to everything in walking distance. Upstairs pool area was awesome with great views at sunset.

Cons:

Our room was outdated and at night you could hear the loud music from Y-Bar.
