Excellent stay. The hotel is one that you want to spend time in.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Excellent service by warm and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to Lord willing come back!

Cons:

I have a nut and peanut allergy. The complimentary soaps warn that they are not suitable for people with this allergy.

A very relaxing couple of days
Pros:

The breakfast was great, ample hot and cold food. The mail meals were excellent, good choices and all meals were well served. Staff had good knowledge of food, wine and facilities.
The garden was spectacular, a joy to relax in.

Cons:

There was a light out in the bathroom when we arrived and the was no water in the water jug.

Pros:

Excellent location to explore the glorious Lake District. Spent a day with Martyn from Embr.bike exploring the countryside on e-bike. Superb day out on the bike open to all levels, with easy or challenging terrains.
