Cosy stay in the Lorna Doone in Porlock, a lovely place to recharge our batteries
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. The bed was comfortable giving us a good night’s sleep. We were pleasantly surprised to have a view of the sea in the distance from our room. The breakfast was very good.

Cons:

The stairs were a challenge for one of us whose mobility is not great but the hotel gave fair warning of this. It was nice to be given fresh milk for the room but not easy to keep it fresh in the warm room.

Enjoyable albeit some lack of sleep.
Pros:

Very friendly staff - really lovely. Breakfast was also fab.

Cons:

The mattress in room 6 is dire. It needs replacing.

We had a nice weekend
Pros:

Location as we were visiting family . The breakfast was very good .

Cons:

Only one thing . Unfortunately the heating in our room was not working and it was very cold, and arriving back late there was no one we could report it too.

Lovely to have the option to eat there and the menu was brilliant with delicious options . Would recommend booking to eat here too

Small friendly family run hotel with excellent food
Pros:

Lovely family run small hotel. Fabulous food and restaurant, friendly staff, lovely big room with comfortable bed. Quiet, next door to a pub serving excellent real ale. The hotel itself had bottled beers and a good range of wines. The food was excellent
