breakfast had a large selection and was cooked well, evening meal was lovely and staff were very attentive and helpful, stayed in the superior double room it was a really lovely room, beds were nice and really lovely decor, looks like they have been recently updated. bathroom has not been updated when the room has, needs a total refit.
spa and communal areas are very tired and needs updating, the jacuzzi is cold. would have been so much better if it was warmer and no children were jumping in it, no outdoor options, there was a filled in jacuzzi outside with fake grass over it. locker room is very tired looking, you have to hire the robes for £5 each and they are very old and are no longer white, very grey looking, all the towels are old and look like hospital towels with a blue stripe along the edge.
could be a lovely place with some improvements. outside of the building is in serious need of renovation.
Great pool and facilities, food in the bar was great at night!
Gym & breakfast didnt open till 8am on weekends ( was visiting for a weightlifting comp) and could of really done with early breakfast and a warm up, we had to leave at 7-30am
The facilities and food was great, the room was like new really nice
Couldn't stay longer
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was good. Food excellent.
Some areas looking a bit tired.
Friendly staff. Good size room. Plenty of space. Easy parking.
Everything was good. Little advice, the windows need cleaning.
Good breakfast, wonderful room.
Nothing
Rooms were nice size, clean and comfortable
WiFi was very poor.
Hotel is tired and needs some love is very dated
Value for money
It’s a bit tired and out dated
The bedroom and bathroom were beautiful, hotel and spa all lovely, staff were great and food was lovely.
The weather was super hot when we went, which was lovely but the only thing in the room to try and cool down was a desk fan which had seen much better days it was filthy and crackled when working. We did tell the reception staff it probably needs replacing.
Staff in the main hotel were great and hotel is clean with a nice size room
Spa staff need some training, there was someone in the pool area on their phone (which signs say are banned) there were women and children in the pool he could have been taking pictures or video. He was also vaping in the pool area. Spoke the guy at the spa reception who said 'nothing he could do'. Also noticed all the hourly checks for the pool, showers and gym for that day were all signed to close at 2pm so clearly they were not being done.
Staff in spa was helpful.
The floor in hotel was covered in dirt! Bathroom tap was full of limescale.
a good stay - have been 3 times now as it makes for a convenient stopping place on our route between SE and NE of country. A bonus having the pool. Lovely view this time, of inner courtyard garden, so room was nice and light; and also quiet, as it was away from road. Friendly and welcoming staff.
The venue was perfect located for a event we was attending, throughout our time there every member of the team we encountered were wonderful
Nothing
Friendly and relaxing
No fan or air con in the room - sorry fan was in room but not working
Menu for food wasn’t really good - food came out pretty poor and fat floating around food
Large bedroom, good food
Smell of damp in the walkways, the mattress didn't fit the bed
The pool and spa area was good and quiet when we were there..the location was good and they had accommodated us with different room requirements , with ground floor for my father in law. His room was lux by comparison.
We were at the back of hotel and woken by early bins lorry and then effluent lorry! there was a slight smell when this was happening. We had a room for 4 adults booked but only 3 cups for tea making ( one chipped) and 3 sets of towels, also only one comfy chair in room.
