Spa was ok , staff were lovely .
I stayed in a part where the carpet was thread bare , really poor maintained hotel with windows literally filled with filler just to keep them there . I know maybe it’s going through a new ownership/transfer but there won’t be no woodwork left if they don’t take a maintenance schedule soon.
Very very tired
Our room was decent, but we paid for the best one. The staff were very helpful.
It was not very clean in the communal areas. Our room was clean but the coridoors and outside it was a little neglected. Cobwebs all over the windows and things like that. We did not go to breakfast for that reason. There was a wedding on at the time and it was a really hot day, we were told we could not have an ice bucket for the wine as they were all being used at the wedding.
The staff were all very helpful and lovely. The property met our needs and we enjoyed the pool. We were visiting relatives in Worksop and really needed somewhere just to rest. It was clean and basic. Great location for Sherwood Forest.
We felt the hotel had seen better days and that it was quite run down and neglected. The decor was tired and it definitely could have done with some TLC. Such an amazing property with so much potential but needs investment. The pool was great however it was chilly- even the hot tub wasn’t hot and the changing rooms were chilly too. The room was basic with tired furniture and decor. The TV in the bedroom wasn’t a smart tv and the windows wouldn’t close properly. The hotel needs renovating- roof and windows seriously need replaced. Worth saving and it’s a shame it’s been left to deteriorate.
Pool and gym facilities very good. Nice comfortable and large room. Good breakfast
Key card kept failing- was told it needed a special technique
Nothing much
It’s run down, the four poster bed room was not nice, cracked tiles, bathroom tap broken, faces a very busy road with constant traffic, no aircon, just horrible
The location of the Hotel also the Spa facilities,my partner loved the pool because it wasn't deep
We had an evening meal on our first night the service was not what we expected, the person who took our order forgot to bring our drinks over as she forgot what we wanted the meal came out late. Overall the experience was poor. So the following evening we went elsewhere for our evening meal
Lovely location. Excellent swimming facilities
A little dated in parts. Breakfast is buffet style
Executive rooms are excellent and newly decorated
The bar/ kitchen staff seem to work really hard with what they have and are helpful and friendly.
Location is great to visit Clumber Park.
Whilst the Executive rooms are excellent it looks like the other rooms are in need of refurbishing.
The carpets in the hallways needed hoovering and should really be replaced as they are showing their age..
Friendly staff in all areas
Spa pool was a little cool
Bar staff and staff member who checked us in were lovely, room was fantastic and the grounds and free use of spa excellent.
Breakfast was very expensive so we skipped it and went to Friar Tuck's just up the road.
Most staff were lovely but one person on desk was cold to the point of rude.
Room was a bit warm and if you're at the front of the building opening windows subjects you to traffic throughout the night.
Spa and pool were very good and quite a bit of time spent there, if the hotel sets time rules for children swimming they should keep to those rules
Thought iot very strange that there were no contacy phones in the room, a safety risk maybe?
Friendly and helpful staff
Tired carpets throughout, finish poor on bathroom ceiling, king size bed with a double duvet on and not as clean as it should have been.
The room was very nice and comfortable and the spa was enjoyable, we just used the pool, steam and sauna which helped after a tough weekend training. The food was very tasty.
This is a card only hotel, I know lots of places are going this way but I believe it is very wrong, we have sterling in this country and everyone should be allowed to use it! Also some of the staff were very efficient but we felt some of the staff could do with a little more help with understanding customer service, I am trying to be helpful not negative.
