Great location, basic clean room
Pros:

Great location, room didn’t feel like a 4 star room, pretty small and basic but clean. “Free toiletries” is a single bottle of liquid soap on the shower wall. Pretty old looking microwave included in the wardrobe area of the room with a dated mini fridge you couldn’t open because of the wardrobe frame at the bottom. Wouldn’t say there was anything luxury at all about the standard room but great location, good view of St James Park out the window. Pretty loud room with loud music outside but to be expected with this location and didn’t bother us. Staff were friendly and the lobby area was very nice, one elevator was out of service so had to wait a while to use it.

Nice accommodation, restaurant could cater better for allergies.
Pros:

The room was comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped and a good price. it was also nice to have the restaurant on site.

Cons:

The wet room floor was normal tiles and was very slippery when wet, there was no non slip mat to stand on. Also we chose this hotel because it advertised a gluten free breakfast but didn't deliver what was expected. The only option was bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and gluten free bread, there seemed to be no regard to cross contamination i.e. separate toaster or separate utensils for gluten and non gluten items, and there was no continental breakfast options that we could see.
