We had an incredible stay here. The estate grounds are gorgeous and we loved the views from our lodge too as well as the design of the room allowing for a through flow breeze and no need for air conditioning. The food was outstanding too. We would like to thank you again for our room upgrade which was amazing.
We stayed at Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat for two nights as a stopover on the way from the airport further north, and it was honestly the perfect format for a short stay.
What you’re really paying for here is the atmosphere: individual lodges tucked into the jungle, with night-time nature sounds that didn’t disturb our sleep at all, if anything, it made the whole experience feel more “St Lucia” and less like a generic resort. The lodge was also well set up for the tropics (mosquito-friendly touches like a canopy over the bed and practical little bits that make a difference when you’re surrounded by nature).
The chocolate theme is not a gimmick, it’s properly woven into the experience. The hotel sits on the Rabot Estate cacao plantation, and your stay includes a tree-to-bar/cacao tour where you can learn the process and even make your own chocolate bar. The restaurants lean into it too: lots of menu items and sauces/cocktails featuring cacao or chocolate notes in a fun way.
A major highlight was the infinity pool and the view of the Pitons — absolutely stunning and one of those views you don’t get tired of.
Worth noting: this is not a beach hotel. There’s no beach on-site, but they do run a complimentary shuttle (twice daily) to a nearby beach. For us, the beach itself wasn’t the main event as the hotel is more about the plantation/jungle vibe and the views. As a bonus, it’s a great base for exploring Soufrière — the Sulphur Springs “drive-in volcano” and mud baths are very close, and there are great viewpoints and trails in the area.
Overall, for two nights it was exactly what we wanted: atmospheric, unique, very on-theme, and a lovely way to experience this part of the island before moving on.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1-week in late-February - we absolutely loved our stay. The hotel and Rabot estate is beautiful, with incredible views across the estate (make sure to see the Big Nature Trail sea view). The staff are also fantastic, everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and the restaurant were great, as was the pool and spa. The hotel had a range of excursions and we found the Gros Piton hike, Project Chocolate tour, and beach and town shuttle, very well organised.
We were worried about mosquitoes based on previous reviews. While we got some bites, the staff did a lot to manage mosquitoes including spraying the resort several times a week and your room twice a day. Our only two small issues were that we requested an extra fan to feel more comfortable overnight and we didn’t have a functioning tablet to communicate with staff - neither of these became available during our stay.
The Rabot Hotel - perfect for a couple of nights as it’s very pricey - especially the restaurant, although the food is sublime .
Luxe lodge was perfect as was the view.
Bean to bar chocolate experience fantastic but best of all - the chocolate facial - unique and much enjoyed highlight of my stay .
We had a good stay, not a great one. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are kept very clean. Pool and view are gorgeous. I found the restaurant food was above average but the prices were high. They did a great job accommodating reservation times and it was a seamless process with the in room tablet. Also loved the chocolate tour and pavilion where it is held.
A huge drawback was the horrible mosquito nets. We stayed in the Luxe lodge, which is a hefty price, so you’d expect not to be bitten by mosquitoes all night long. The net they use for the bed is open at the bottom and very difficult to tuck into the mattress. The Airbnb we stayed at before coming here (for a fraction of the price) had a much better net. Also, on our last day I ordered room service an hour before check out. It was just a sandwich with a side salad and fries. 50 minutes later it hadn’t arrived so we went to reception to check out and head to the airport. They called the restaurant to have it switched into a to go container but still we had to wait an additional 10 minutes. I feel like this meal should have been comped. We paid more for the meal as is normal for room service, but this service was not met. And the kicker was they provided no cutlery or napkins. When you’re paying a premium, I expect a little better service.
The hotel is exceptional! Situated in an exceptional rainforest, with Mountain views from our room. Lots of fancy snacks (truffle cookies; cocoa cookies) hot cocoa with milk and coffee options in room. Free ice provided. 10 min car ride to a gorgeous beach: Sugar Beach. Breakfast was amazing as options and freshness. We caught Valentines dinner there - and the menu was fine dining! It’s the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in.
It’s on the expensive side, unless you find some promotion. Some of staff could be nicer I would say. Sometimes it felt you are bothering them to ask for this or that.
So relaxing sitting at the pool overlooking the pitons. Great restaurant all food made with or garnished with chocolate. Loved our open air room . Great staff a d they arrange taxis for transportation.
Spectacular, relaxing environment, full experience of all the rainforest sounds at night, best view of the Pitons and the best staff. Food top notch, luxe lodge was huge and rain shower was gorgeous.
From the moment you arrive the staff are fantastic, friendly engaging and only too happy to help or simply just stop and chat.
The luxe lodge accommodation was positioned superbly for a surreal view of the Pitons whilst relaxing on your choice of chair or lounger on the spacious private balcony.
The lodge was very airy & spotlessly clean and well stocked with mini fridge supplies, chocolate truffles, hot chocolat, coconut shavings, tea, coffee and an assortment of teas soft drinks and beers.
There were plenty of toiletries but the most important one was the repellent freely available and restocked when needed,(or just ask housekeeping).
The shower was a luxury semi outdoor experience with more than enough room for a couple.
Comfortable four post bed enclosed with double lined mosquito net.
A handy mosquito racquet was available for the night time visitors.
We only had mosquitos, moths, crickets and gheckos visit but be prepared for the nightly routine of playing mosquito tennis in your netted bed enclosure before settling down to take in the night time chorus of wildlife to sooth you to sleep.
The food was fantastic particularly if you like fish with daily offerings and variety.
The restaurant always felt chilled and relaxed, never too busy and you can see your meal being crafted and created at the open view kitchen where the staff work efficiently throughout.
The infinity pool and bar area once again was positioned for a superb view of the Petit Piton,
Again this was never too busy and always chilled and relaxed.
The Bean to Bar experience is a must if you get the opportunity, very informative and you will certainly get a workout in the arm when pounding the cocoa nibs, great fun and only a 2min walk from the hotel although we were shuttled to it not knowing how close it was.
Overall this was a quality stay from start to finish in every respect.
Big shout out to all the staff for helping make us feel so welcome and valued.
My partner and I stayed at Rabot Hotel for 5 nights at the end of January/start of February. This was a once in a lifetime holiday for us and it was above our usual price range. It was absolutely worth the splurge!
We opted for their ‘Adventure in Paradise’ package which included so many wonderful activities and experiences, plus all-inclusive food and drink. Our package experiences and activities had been thoughtfully planned out for us (but we were free to make changes if we wished) We started our first night with a private poolside dining experience which was truly special.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Luxe Lodge which had a picturesque view of the Petit Piton. The lodge itself was spacious, clean, well maintained and stocked with treats (truffles and mini cookies) made on site. The rooms don’t have air conditioning but the open-air layout, breeze and ceiling fan did the trick.
From the moment of arrival all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Each room has a tablet which can be used to communicate with the front desk to book excursions, spa treatments and restaurant bookings.
By staying at Rabot Hotel you have access to the Rabot estate and we took full advantage of the walking trails. I highly recommend the Big Nature Trail which has the most amazing view of the Pitons.
As we were all-inclusive we ate at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was plenty of choice across all the menus, and at dinner we’d often receive an amuse bouche and pre-dessert, sometimes followed by a shot of Hotel Chocolat’s very own Velvetised Cream.
As with most all-inclusive offers some drinks do incur a surcharge, but they’re clearly marked in the menu and we stuck to those included. The rum punch is delicious (and strong). I'd also recommend the non-alcoholic sour orange spritz, it was so refreshing.
The adventure package kept us busy and we had an outing off the hotel grounds every day. The Gros Piton hike was a highlight and due to the early start they’d packed us a breakfast and supplied us with lots of water for the steep hike. The package also included spa treatments, and we opted for deep-tissue massages. We’re not spa connoisseurs and so we were perfectly happy with our massages.
The hotel doesn’t have a gym, but it does have a movement studio which has yoga mats and a good selection of kettle bells.
A few reviews mention issues with mosquitoes. Perhaps we were lucky, but we only received a few bites on our legs the entire trip. Repellent spray was provided and we came prepared with our own too.
The hotel is situated near a road and there were times I could hear a car passing, but it never bothered me. At night I did use ear plugs, it is a rainforest after all and the noises of night-time critters should be expected!
This was supposed to be a once in a lifetime holiday but we loved it so much we'll be saving the pennies to come back!
For the most part we enjoyed our stay at the Rabot. I was a little disappointed in the location of our room as we heard the restaurant and staff most of the day/night and we had virtually no view other than of the restaurant.
The staff was friendly and our room was quite nice and well kept.
Just finished a 3 night stay which was absolutely wonderful! Can’t recommend it enough!
Special call-out to Cindy and Marguerite for their wonderful concierge service and also to Vernita for being a wonderful server and giving extra care for gluten free needs!
The location is incredible and it was a wonderful experience for Celiacs!
We had a fantastic 3 nights here that was the perfect way to finish our 2 week honeymoon.
The views from both our room and the restaurant / pool are just epic. Think I took around 50 pictures of that view throughout the day in different lights.
Our room was very clean and a perfect way to spend the day relaxing. One thing we loved about staying here was the abundance of wildlife and especially the birds.
Our highlight of our stay was the tree to bar chocolate tour that was excellent and so much fun.
All our meals at the restaurant were lovely and very much enjoyed the additional tasters between our main courses. The steak was particularly excellent.
The only slight negative aspect of staying here was the mosquitos throughout the night. The bed does have a fly net and you do get a mosquito bat that makes a very satisfying snap crackle and pop when you get one of the little bastards! Despite that we did get a few bites as we noticed there was a gap in the floor boards between the net and the bed which we suspect they weee getting in. On nights two and three we tucked the net into the mattress which was a lot more successful in keeping them out.
Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again.
My wife and I had a lovely stay at Rabot Hotel.
Having already done all the sites on the island, we were able to just chill out around the hotel, and enjoy it's beautiful location and amenities. We arranged to do the 'Tree to Bean to Bar' experience just before we checked in, so the timing was perfect.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Literally the worst experience in my entire life of traveling. The food is terrible, we were treated like unfairly from Hotel Manger and Security.
The hotel manager, James Holah was unwilling to apologize for an incident that occurred on the property even after there was no proof of our involvement. We will not be staying at the hotel in the future and do not recommend the experience.
My partner and I recently stayed at Rabot Hotel by Hotel Chocolat, and what should have been a peaceful stay turned into a frightening and humiliating experience.
After returning to our room from dinner, we heard a noise nearby. The property manager contacted us to ask whether we had noticed anything unusual. We fully cooperated and calmly explained what we heard.
Shortly afterward, the manager returned with police officers. Without justification, the officers were rude, hostile, and verbally abusive toward both of us. We were spoken to aggressively, treated like suspects rather than guests, and explicitly threatened with arrest—despite having done nothing wrong.
Throughout this interaction, the hotel manager stood by and made no attempt to de-escalate the situation, intervene, or advocate for us as paying guests. No apology was offered by the hotel or the police.
As guests, we expect safety, professionalism, and basic respect. Instead, we were left feeling intimidated, criminalized, and unsafe in our own hotel room. This experience was deeply unsettling and entirely unacceptable.
I’m sharing this publicly because guest safety and dignity should never be optional, and accountability matters.
Qamazing place and architecture
Price is a little high and not enough mosquito protection in the room
Awesome amazing experience 🥳 Treated my daughter for her birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉
The only downside was the attack of the mosquitoes. It would have been a perfect bday trip, but the mosquitoes were overwhelming. We were literally in distress from the bites.
