I only stayed for 1 night at the end of my 5-day motorcycle trip in the Northeast, so I was only there one night before flying out early the next morning. It has a nice spot in the Old Quarter, so good location if you want access to the area. The room was large enough to fit my stuff without feeling cramped. Also, the bed was nice and cozy, plus there's a bathtub, but I didn't use it.
The view out the window wasn't much, but since it was an overnighter, it was fine. I am unsure of the atmosphere during the day, it's more like a hotel than a homestay so not much character. However, that may not be an issue for you.
The location, availability of the front desk and services such as food and laundry are all great.
If you're choosing to stay in the Old Quarter, you're going to have to deal with a loud level of noise coming from outside. Noise doesn't really die down until 12am FYI.

Great location for exploring Old Quarter and short walks (20 minutes) to other sights such as Train Street and Lake. Wide selection of bars and restaurants nearby. My room was upgraded upon check in, external balcony much appreciated. Very large room, powerful shower, daily cleaning to high standard. On-site restaurant lunch and dinner options. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good value accommodation.

Good value, nice size room
My A/C had one setting high. I would either freeze or be hot. I told staff both nights that the fan blew consistently high. I ended up taping it almost closed. Staff you looked at it said it was fine. Stuck on one setting is not fine.
Worked for me a solo traveler.
